  • I am having this song played at my husband's memorial next month. He was a clown with Ringling Brothers and I feel it is a wonderful choice.

I had this song played at my mother’s funeral. She died April 23, 2024. I love listening to it even though I cry every time I hear it!

How fortunate were we to grow up in the 1960s surrounded by such music that has followed us all our lives.  May the world return to such simple beauty and faith.
  • This was my mother's favorite song, she's been gone 20 year's this September 2, 2024. ❤

I had this played as I carried my sons coffin into church for his funeral, he loved the circus and as a child had dreamed of being a clown. It was so beautiful

My Brother Timm collected clowns, he died at just 62 years old in 2014. 😢 He wanted this song played at his funeral mass, and so it was. I seriously have chills right now. I love and miss you, Timm. ❤😘
  • Saw her in concert in the middle ‘70s. It was like seeing and listening to an angel! Never got over her!

I'm a rough old old guy who lived a fast and rough life. But this song makes me melt l, and sometimes cry, just hearing it...just like my grandkids.

The orchestration here is sublime. Judy Collins has aching sorrow in her voice. A perfect performance.

I grew up in the Viet Nam era, as an inner city kid, worried about being drafted, fighting for civll rights and against crime, poverty. Judy Collins and I could not be more different. Yet her lyrics spoke beyond station and status. This is real poetry … art that transcends time, status and station. So glad I grew up with Smokey, Janis Ian, Alan and Marilyn, Paul Williams, Marvin Gaye, C,S,N, Bacharach, Aretha, Joanie Mitchell, Dionne Warwick, Carol King, Neil Diamond … and a host of other extremely talented singers and sing writers. I would not trade a note if our generations music with any other generation. Timeless …

One of the most beautiful things I've ever heard in my life 😔
  • Sad to hear of Stephen Sondheim passing, what a gorgeous song and career he left behind & may his memory be a blessing

My grandfather passed away on the last day of November recently & I remember hearing this song on one of his favorite video tapes of Rodeo Bloopers. Lord rest his soul❤️❤️🌹🌹🙏🙏

A beautiful song by a beautiful person. I'm terminally ill with Pulmonary Fibrosis, no cure, very little meaningful treatment and non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis. This song always brings a wee tear to my eyes. Not sad, happy for every extra day I get. There are always people worse off than I am, I wish them well. Definitely one of the better songs dealing with a sad chapter in life.

This song makes me cry and think of wasted opportunities, foolish choices.

As I sit in the park on my way to Lincoln Park zoo, and waiting for them to open, I am listening to this song, teary-eyed enjoy filled, this is a beautiful song. I'm praying for healing of my emotions. And an end to the homelessness i am experiencing once agian. I'm believing for prosperity, I am trusting that God will allow me to continue to create an immune boost and disease killer, so i may continue to share it with the unwell. God bless you all❤

I WAS MARRIED 19 OCTOBER 1985. THAT EVENING MY NEW WIFE PAMELA AND I OPTED TO CELEBRATE AT THE FAIRMONT HOTEL IN SAN FRANCISCO WHERE THIS GORGEOUS WOMAN, JUDY COLLINS, PERFORMED AND SANG THIS EXQUISITE TUNE "SEND IN THE CLOWNS." IT WAS THE MOST MAGIC MOMENT IN MY LIFE.
  • I cannot listen to this song without a tear in my eye. Judy has such a haunting quality about her voice that moves you.
