Mojang: We're gonna add only 1 mob in this update Meanwhile modders:

Imagine if we add a mod with localized weather, so you can be sitting somewhere under a bright and sunny sky while watching a thunderstorm build up near the mountains far away.
-
so glad someone brought back terraforged its easily the most stunning world gen mod
-
I am glad that finally those "sea"s in minecraft turned into a beautiful lake now.
-
This is Minecraft 2 😂
-
I'm honestly shocked how much minecraft has needed this. Like, you see distant horizons once and wonder how minecraft ever existed without it
-
Mojang: we added a funny smashy hammer! Meanwhile modders:

Honestly this mod combination kind of shifts building away from terraforming the land to fit your build to instead building around the land in a scale that actually seems meaningful. Like even a 20 hour build project on a ReTerraForged mountain looks like a tiny starter shack, and then comparing that mountain to the surrounding scenery, it looks like a tiny mound of dirt in a deep valley. Previously you'd work really hard on the fine details of your build and try to terraform the land to create interesting shapes like a water feature under a bridge or a custom tree, but with this mod the landscape is already so stunningly beautiful and the scale of it all kind of hides the lack of fine detail that you'd usually notice on a smaller render distance.

As someone who is now nearing 30, I'm on the verge of crying. I remember playing the old minecraft with 8 chunks of render distance. Where you would walk into the fog hoping to find something new and exciting. Never would I have imagined that that game could look like this, with a world you could see for miles on end and having a sense of direction and scale of the world. It just really makes me want to play minecraft again.

I loved that distant horizons make the Minecraft scale totally insane, a thousand blocks is nothing now

i played mc beta, this game is a massive part of my childhood. that said- this is enough to make a grown man cry... maybe not literally but this is beautiful
-
Those open fields give off mad LOTR vibes
-
Crazy terrain generation damn
-
Someone said in the comment section that they wanted to see the river and this is it.
-
I'm still alive to see Minecraft become a massive multiplayer game with thousands of players connected in a world simultaneously. It will be crazy.
-
Smp with colonies must be fun
-
This is peak minecraft performance
-
In a world like this, you would really need faster transportation.

this mod makes me think of how great it could work with a version of Fossils and Archaeology. Imagine a mosasaurus in that water, with how pretty that map really is
