Hunters: Hello Fellow Crayon Eaters, I am amongst you Titans: They wear towel wrong way
  • Bro. This was my playstyle going into TFS. This build naturally came to me as I was already using Handshake. The best part is they changed how Liars works. You can now chain cross counter! You had to wait at least a second prior without Meleeing
  • As soon as we have exotic class items, use renewals & synthos (or liars if preferred). Duskfields grant frost armor, helping apply the Shieldcrush melee buff. With frost armor + galvanic armor + winters shroud damage resist buff, you don't need silence & squall for super, instead go golden gun for good single target ranged burst and restoration per orb pickup, helping with survivability. can use the fragment that gives health regen on melee kill as well, if desired. with all this you don't really need the invis from stylish, go with threaded specter and create billions of strand clones all over the place as you dodge, drawing aggro away from your entire fireteam and opening up another fragment slot. I'm predicting calibans will be TOO effective; when you blow up everything near you, there's nothing to keep dodging and punching to keep ability energy rolling in. and with the amount of stasis shatters you get, it's just too much dipping into the same pot.

This is the level of aggressive play that i love.

Assassin's Cowl's biggest weakness was starting the chain. Because you needed to get close while visible. With the changes to Stylish Executioner you can now apply any debuff to go into invisibility from a distance, then run in to start chaining your melee safely. Since your build effectivity covers Assassin's Cowl's benefits you are free to use any other exotic in the game. Liar's handshake is a natural pair since it's biggest downside was Assassin's Cowl existing. But you can go with others. I started the campaign using Celestial Nighthawk, and it pairs with this build incredibly well too, since one of the fragments causes hits from your charged melee to make you Radiant, which buffs your Nighthawk. Weave between adds with invisibility then pop out for a very quick Nighthawk shot. It's been VERY useful for the legendary campaign so far. I've also been loving the grapple grenade, since it's melee applies unravel which will also trigger your Stylish Executioner. I also highly recommend a Slice gun, since you're dodging so much you'll be able to apply Sever whenever you want, which is ANOTHER debuff you'll be dishing out that can get you back into invisibility, as well will decrease the damage you take from that enemy which really helps since you're in melee range. (A Slice One Two Punch shotgun would be absolutely BUSTED with this build.)

Bungie: Titans are the melee class D2 Community: Hunter fist go brrr
  • knew this build was gonna pop up, good to see its as good as a lot were speculating

I love punch hunter but man, I really hope prismatic has more viable builds to offer than more punch hunter.

No lie, I am hella proud I managed to almost copy your 1st build before you uploaded this. I’m sorta proud. AWESOME video my guy.

Thru the night on LEGEND campaign I was running the hunter grips for larger Duskfields to assist my general AOE gameplay doing solo and getting frost armor. Then I used Knucklehead radar the rest of the campaign with another Gaurdian whilst keeping duskfield grenade ON. Once prismatic hit… I was like, okay, there’s a lot going on here. This opens a lot of opportunities for builds.

since learning about prismatic I was hoping I would be able to make a build that combined the speed/power of arc hunter with the enemy restriction of stasis. already had a prototype going but this video REALLY helped work out the final tweaks. much love for you mactics💙

just saw the raid.. and thought - this was really good - the whole season so far has been mind-blowing. Then I thought, those guys, the Bungie workers that got laid off, none of this could have been possible without the work they did - no one will thank you cause everyone is too wrapped up in the here and now but isn't that the game? Because of what you created in the past is why people are entertained in the future, as is the curse of artists. That said, to the artists in the now and in the past - Amazing. Thank you for being a part of my life and for the experience you gave it. Of course - that means you too Mactics!
  • @Welkdad
I was sitting here at work thinking about builds around combination blow & stylish executioner when I thought about liars handshake. Then boom, I check YouTube & see mactics on the same page.
  • @Brohnson
I was literally made for this build. I’ve been liars handshake since it dropped for all arc builds. Let’s F##king GOOOO!!
  • Shock and awe works with this build currently. So you dodge near 2 enemy, punch 1, dodge near 2nd and freeze. When you punch the frozen enemy, there's a frozen explosion and a lightning bolt comes down and strikes where the enemy was (because it's dead) and does a chain lightning to anyone near by... just like arc.

I was piecing things together last night and ended up shocked at how OP this build felt. For the weapon I paired this with buried bloodline because I can also keep devour active the entire time I’m stabbing everything.
  • @ForeverLaxx
This was the build I was workshopping when things were being revealed. It basically builds itself and there's no way Bungie wasn't making Prismatic Hunter decisions without knowing this is what people would gravitate towards. Like most builds of this nature, though, it will never really "perform" in raid content so you probably won't have to worry about it getting nerfed too hard. EDIT: You didn't mention this, but a weapon with Slice is good to have in your back pocket, like the new Strand Rocket Sidearm. With all the dodging going around, you'll be able to apply Sever to beefier/distant targets for additional damage resistance when desired, and since that's also a debuff, you can use it to go invisible without having to set up a Shroud dodge first.
