I love how they made her seem difficult to play in this video, but then in the Tekken Talk Murray flat out said that the character is piss easy to use.

Btw from the times when I trained shotokan (in Poland ;-)) : the "horse" stance is part of Heian Yondan kata (maybe some other katas as well, but don't remember). When going for the bronze belt, I had to pass the kata interpretation exam part and I remember this "stance" was meant as an "offensive block" of a kick after the enemy raised his knee but before he could straighten his leg. There had to be some forward monentum applied to this move or it wouldn't make sense. I just looked up that on one page that called this move Juji-uke. Kinda strange to see this as a stance because I find it hard to imagine somebody fighting karate and just standing like this, but 1) I'm not an expert, so maybe that makes sense for some reason, 2) Tekken takes some liberty in accomodating moves from martial arts anyway.

To me it just feels like folks are just complaining about a pseudo T8 Tekken 7 character playing a game she was meant to be in in the first place

As a Reina main, I'm excited for Lidia to release! Been struggling to find a second character for a while, no one else really appealed to me, besides Kazuya but even he hasn't really filled that void.

Agreed that Lidia is not the most exciting but I love how clean she feels. I know it'll be a good while before it could even possibly happen but I would love to see a return of Kazumi in a new Hachijō character, I know a lot of people found her boring but it was exactly my sort of playstyle.
