Toyota is struggling to sell their new 2024 model trucks like the Toyota Tacoma and Toyota Tundra and in todays video... I want to show you exactly why this is happening.

As a huge toyota fan I was really excited when I saw their tiny new truck that started at just $10,000.

But apparently in the USA we don’t get that.

Nope. Our cheapest Toyota truck available today is this new Tacoma. But the CEOs recent decision just screwed every truck buyer.

Nobody wants a 4 banger turbo, and its over priced for a 4 banger turbo...people want V6 Tacomas and V8 Tundras‼️
  • Having all those Tundras lined up at the dealership sure will make their recall easier.

Toyota didn’t listen…nobody wanted to lose the V8…nobody wanted turbos…keep it simple as well as reliable people will buy.

It's time for Toyota to listen to their customers. Bring back the V6s and the V8s!

Two words could save Toyota: 1. Naturally 2. Aspirated

Stop paying these prices and they’ll go down. Dudes are buying $65k trucks and putting a cooler in the bed
  • I guess Toyotas marketing told the management that everyone in North America makes $150k+ a year and $50k+ trucks are reasonable. The world has outpaced me.

I am an engineer, and when I changed jobs to the automotive industry, one of my first projects was equipment installs for parts that would end up on the 2024 Tacoma. I was coming up on needing a new vehicle, and was super excited to pick up one of the 2024 Tacomas since I had a hand in their production, as I've always liked Toyotas. I was eager for this truck the entire time I was working on the project and was even ready to settle on the turbo 4, cause I could look at the truck in my driveway and say I did a part of that. About a week ago was when I finally got my new truck. A Nissan Frontier Pro 4X. That's what I thought of the new Tacomas and their pricing.

The cheapest is not $43K, cause you don't pay $43K. You pay $43K plus taxes, plus bullshit dealer fees, plus registration, so the cheapest will run probably a lot closer to $48K out the door, which should be the number these review guys are taking about. $5k extra Is 12-13% more than the MSRP and is a lot of money ...

The mistake that dumping the V8 and the base V6 for a turbo 4 is plainly evident.
  • Have you read? Over 98,000 Tundras are being recalled due to faults main bearings. That’s a big-time safety issue. WOW! Mighty Toyota, where have you gone?
  • @toddgries2133
Nissan Frontier still has a v6 and it’s made in Mississippi
  • No trucks should have ever got above 40k, much less 60 or 70 like we're seeing! People that buy them at those prices are ruining the entire market.💯
  • @dustincollins16
So many millions more people are now priced out of even a midsize truck now. Sad situation in the US now
  • @tlo35
Even when dealers are not selling their vehicles, they will not lower their prices. Very greedy.
  • @rocinblues
After taxes $50k - $70K+ is a joke for a 4 cylinder truck ! Only a Toyota fanboy would say different.
  • @bremarcle2729
I have a 2015 Nissan frontier that I owe like two grand left and I’m a pay that Joker off and drive on it until the wheels fall off😊

Small trucks used to be successful because they were actually small and cheap. In the 80s and 90s a small truck usually started at the sMe price as the entry level car...so a base s10 matched a cavalier, a ranger matched an escort...taco matched the xarolla etc. There's no reason you can't have a pickup nicely equipped under 30k. They just won't make them

Who wants a 80,000 dollar truck for an engine to fail , yup no thanks .
