  • One man is not a team... His team failed him and now everyone is blaming Luka for this mess...
  • @jimibify
The truth is the Celtics won because they were a better team. Deal with that and Leave Luka alone.
  • 0:30 -- He didn't fall short, the TEAM did. Basketball isn't golf or tennis, it is a team sport with at least 8 to 9 guys playing on each team per game.
  • Celtics have 6 players in the top 100, Mavs have 3 and 1's a rookie. Every other legit contender has at least 4. Luka driving this squad of misfits to the Finals with multiple injuries is nothing to be ashamed of, it's the stuff legends are made of.
  • Luka blaiming himself is just sportsmanship, we all know its the team that fell short.
  • ?? Fell short? Without him they wouldn't even be in the finals. What about other players not showing up on games 1&2? Him scoring 30 even with multiple injuries?
  • Everyone from Dallas besides an injured Luka was garbage. "One man cannot defeat the Boston Celtics" - Michael Jordan
  • Obviously he didnt fell short. Imagine putting points from 25 or more per game.. He needs a RELIABLE TEAM. He can't do it all!!
  • @MadMan-vs2mc
Let luka give up control and watch this team plummet to bottom 5 in the league. His teammates are garbage. They can't do anything offensively.

The team that went to the Finals just came around about 5.5 months ago. They did play very well in my opinion. Not just Luke. But everyone. But since most of them were INEXPERIENCED in a Finals, this is bound to happen. I think it is a learning curve of being in 1 team and being able to learn how to play efficiently together. Plus even if we do not want to excuse his injury, Luka was in reality injured. No questions about that. I think they will be able to come back stronger next season. I am excited to see how they play next season and see how much they have improved. People will always point fingers to the star players. When Jordan was with the Wizards, he couldn't bring a championship to them. Was he heavily criticized for that? Give Luka and the Mavs a break. 2023-24 Season has completed. Let us all move on and stop pointing fingers to that boy. He did his best and his team did their best. I think they will come back stronger next season.

It's a team game. not an individual game. All the mavs needed to do was for their role players to hit wide open threes. that's it.
  • @HnnBbh
Luka got to recover before he can play good
  • In the NBA, it is a team sport not a one-person team. Look at the previous NBA teams that won the finals each year with 5 players doing their role to make a difference on and off the court. Luka is very talented and an awesome player to watch but he needs more help, so he doesn't have to carry this load on his back to just do his role and maybe this team has potential.
  • There is no question of Luka's basketball ability. He is 25 years old, with 6 years in the NBA. He basketball resume speaks for itself of what he has accomplished previous to coming to the NBA and yes, has some great statistics so far in the NBA. Here are some points I wish to make. 1. He needs to get in shape. Every years he looks heavier and I don't think he works out with weights. 2. A lot of players carry and palm the ball while dribbling; Luka is the one who does it the most... Dribble, dribble.. palm the ball high while dribbling, hold it for a few seconds to determine if he should shoot or keep dribbling. 3. It is obvious that he is sneaky with his dribbling but once you get close, he will immediately attempt to dribble behind his back and lose control, high percentage of turn overs. 4. Probably complains more than other players, like if he is exempt from getting calls against him. 5. Has no speed running the court, no speed, no defense. 6. I believe Luka will only play 10 to 11 years in the NBA. He doesn't have the stamina. 7. We always tend to put a young basketball player on a pedestal, comparing them with actual legends and hall of famers. They did it with Ben Simmons, they did it with Zion Williamson, they recently did it with Anthony Edwards and now doing it with Luka. 8. Some fell short, others will never reach it. As a young talented player, they are fast and agile but lack the maturity that is part of the game. 9. Luka is one of those magical players that come to the NBA once in awhile. 10. Dallas didn't win the NBA finals because of Lukas immaturity and average plays. Nothing to do with Kyrie yet I give Kyrie 3% of the fault. The Boston fans took care of Kyrie. 11. It is to soon to make comparisons, to soon to expect Luka to be a champion, but it's never to soon or never to late for Luka to get in shape, to be quiet and realize it's a team sport and playing tactics are part of it. 12. Dallas will not reach the finals in another 10 years, even more if Mark Cuban sells the team. 13. Jason Kidd will have one more year as the coach, then it's over.
  • In the NBA the team needs to be organized by 5 players not by one player. Each player plays a role on their team instead of relying on just that certain player to shoot, pass, rebound, steal, block, and field goals in the paint and three-point line. It is exhausting to see one player just run the team because they want to do everything but can't win when it comes to the finals.

Let me spoil it for you...the reason why Dallas lost wasnt Lukas injuries but the Boston Celtics. No team was going to win 2 games in a series against the Celtics. Also in game 5 they denied Luka the ball so much, offence was being ran by other players...we all saw what happened
  • @dropshot3113
I agree with you. The Mavs should have much more actions for a Luka catch and shoot, and Luka could improve his moving without the ball. The fascinating thing is - that even banged up as he was - the Mavs would have had a chance if the other players just hit the open shots he was generating for them. It didn't happen this year. If the Mavs just had a couple of players that can generate their own offense - it would be a great relief.
  • 82 regular season games are a long season. I know it isn't easy to reach the finals and win for your team. It takes time, training on and off the court, get enough sleep, exercise, eat a healthy diet, hangout with your family and friends, and get back to training. There is a lot of distractions on and off the court. I know it's hard to keep your composure. Keep focus on what's important to you and keep that to heart. Life is too short not to have fun in life.
  • Life isn't fair, life is short, and life is hard. You are never perfect, but you can get better than yesterday.
  • You can turn luka into a defensive player, less offensive but not defensive. He needs wisdom and Balance. 🙏🏾🔥
