The statement, "A psychopath is born, a sociopath is made", clears up a lot of confusion for me.

Dr. Ramani: intellectually talking Interviewer: "😟😖😨😵😰🙂"
  • @Brucessary
The statement "They will dispose of you if you get in their way" sent chills down my spine. :face-blue-wide-eyes:

Every psychopath is narcissistic but not every narcissist is psychopathic! I love Dr. Ramani! She is so smart!!❤🛐
  • "Guilt and shame, shame is a public emotion." Damn, never thought of it that way but does make sense!

My mother and her father are raging narcissists with a complete lack of empathy for anyone but themselves. It's hard to grow up along these people because they will make you feel like everything bad that is happening is somehow your fault even if you are not involved at all. The manipulation I went through is really hard to overcome but I'm getting better at recognizing what is actually my fault and things that just happen to happen to me.
  • In the world full of narcissistic, psychopaths, and sociopaths, it's so hard to find a sane person to choose as your partner.

I think the main mistake here was the excessive cutting to the interviewer even when he wasn't talking.
  • Now I understand why my ex husband was diagnosed psychopath and narcissistic. I still struggle to grasp every little abuse that I went through because of his mental disorders but I did a lot of progress these past two months
  • I was diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder years ago. I'll try to explain it from my pov. Empathy, compassion & love are foreign to me. No, I'm not some cruel heartless person as I love my sister and mother (as much as one can love?) I've never had any true friends just people I see to use to my benefit and once I get what I want they're of no more use to me. I've never been in love, lusted? Yes, but never in love. I've tried forming bonds with people over the years but to no avail. I try to show empathy for people but I don't know how to. I wasn't physically nor sexually abused as a child but I was overly sheltered and taught that everyone is out to get you.

TWO people should be fired immediately. 1) The interviewer. 2) The person who chose the interviewer.

He doesn’t need to be there. She can give this information without him.
  • Thank you for clarifying that. I was victim of a sociopath. But managed to stay alive. God helped me. Dangerous people with zero remorse
  • Dr. Ramani is on the world stage as THE expert in Narcissism. She has been making waves in this Mental health arena for years. I am so happy she's getting world renowned recognition for her life's work. Read her new book, "It's Not You" -- so so good and insightful. A must read! (And I'm not someone who leaves book reviews because I'm lazy lol) This book is that good! Thank you so much MedCircle and Dr. Ramani for helping millions!

I listened to this woman for just 30 seconds and I've already decided she explains things better than most professionals. Thank you, Dr. Ramani!!!
  • So many people think empathy means to recognize others emotions. But it's to feel what they feel. Huge freaking difference.

I never met a narcissist that was sorry for the damage they cause.
