This popular eatery got its start in 1959 when Al and Delores Thomas, with $5,000 in hand, opened a small coffee shop on Olive Avenue in Burbank. Can you imagine how people feel after meeting Huell. Just look at the respect, enthusiasm, and genuine kindness he shows each person he meets. We need more Huells in this world, and it would be a much better place. Truly a California's Gold.

What a perfect Huell Howser show. Very informative and quite a touching story about this family restaurant that brings so many people together. I went for the first time yesterday (4/22/23) and I will be back with my family and friends.

I had a friend who ate there all the time, and I joined him on a few occasions. Yup, the restaurant is quite good and has a great comfy feel. I haven't been there in several years but now I want to go back, if for no other reason than to soak up some of Huell's wonderful spirit.

R I P Huell you always did a great job . I used to eat here when my dad had a restaurant down there street from here. Always good food and atmosphere . And the food sales representative I knew because he did my dads place when they were called Ryhoff . Oh the memories
