Huell visits a California institution and digs into some very tasty food at the Tallyrand. This popular eatery got its start in 1959 when Al and Delores Thomas, with $5,000 in hand, opened a small coffee shop on Olive Avenue in Burbank. Stop in today as they are still serving wonderful food and hospitality!

Can you imagine how people feel after meeting Huell. Just look at the respect, enthusiasm, and genuine kindness he shows each person he meets. We need more Huells in this world, and it would be a much better place. Truly a California's Gold.

Another special Southern California gem that I visited because of Huell. And, yes, the food is delicious and the service is top notch!

Why is that every time after watching Huell do a show you just have to smile and enjoy some happy time. Guess he had that knack.
  • What a perfect Huell Howser show. Very informative and quite a touching story about this family restaurant that brings so many people together. I went for the first time yesterday (4/22/23) and I will be back with my family and friends.
  • I had a friend who ate there all the time, and I joined him on a few occasions. Yup, the restaurant is quite good and has a great comfy feel. I haven't been there in several years but now I want to go back, if for no other reason than to soak up some of Huell's wonderful spirit.

I used to live in Glendale for 10 years and never knew about this place. I’ll be sure to check it out next time I’m in the area.
