Dear Lord I miss the Jewish community. Love to all of you from the Diaspora. The kindest toughest old folks on the earth made Los Angeles great.

I love how I tuned in to learn about canters and hear people talk about one of my favorite restaurants but it turned into a conversation about how hard it is to live in LA. Yes it’s hard and it’s a sore topic when we talk about our personal struggles out here but when we’re at canters and we get a bowl of matzo ball soup, a pastrami sandwich and those sour pickles our cares melt away for a short while.

I love Canter's ❤ the bakery and food

Wow! Huell is asking some serious philosophical life questions here!
-
My cousin Gary is so young here! The restaurant still looks exactly the same!!
-
I'm amazed Huell didn't show us the bakery upstairs.
-
So awesome! Thank you KCET!

Kcet es una maravilla!!!

We relocated to the SF Valley from the Fairfax area and go back to Cantors often. It's really a Southern California gem. Thanks for sharing Huell.
-
Huell was VERY flirty with the young buck from North Carolina!! Go get your Mack on huell!!!😘

Canters is the best.

Owner coked out of his head

Pastrami sammich was $6.75 in '92 and now in 2020 its about $16!!! still a great place

Those sandwiches! I used to love those triple decker Jewish deli sandwiches. I wonder if Canters is still there. Most of the places I used to go are all gone now. And I'm gone too. I no longer live in L.A.
