This was a great video. Really like the look at this con. Actually focused on comics. I do hate the con mark up prices. But great fun watching you and Papa Goose!

The 100 Page Super Spectacular #4 for $150 (if my old eyes are reading it right) @ 3:44 is a great deal. I know its hard to tell but it looks in great condition. BTW Im sure people have said this but you are so lucky to have a father around to go to cons with like that. He seems like a great dad.

I won't buy big keys at shows like this. The dealers bought them during the comic boom and want to charge prices that no longer reflect the market. $65,000 for that Tales of Suspense #39 is ridiculous now.

Trekked from Detroit to Charlotte. Attended Saturday and Sunday. The guy you bought the ASM#50 from is Matt. He's from Michigan and a great guy to work with. He sets up at Motor City Comic Con too. Picked up an X-Men#1 from Ted at Super World Comics. Great guy to buy from also. Definitely an excellent show for people interested in books but I was disappointed not seeing a whole lot of slabbed high grade silver age DC like: Showcase 55, Strange Adventures 205, Green Lantern 7, 8, 59 and many more. Went after some big books but a common problem I ran into was "the book was on consignment" and the seller said the owner had it priced over FMV. I had several vendors tell me "you don't want this book its way over priced". Tried to pick up a high grade Action #242 but the consigner wanted 64% more than it was purchased for 3 months ago.

Great video! I love that you and your dad can enjoy the hobby together and have a good time checking out books, that’s really special to be able to do. I’m going to Terrificon in August and I’m not looking forward to the “con prices” but I’m hoping I can find some stuff for decent prices. I don’t get the dealers who price things so high, I think they honestly don’t want to sell unless a sucker comes in and pays way over market value.

Heroes isnt like other con. Prices are amazing there. Moat dealers do not change their price tags between shows, thats impossible. Overwhelming amount of dealers are open to wheel and deal and look up fmv with shoppers. I scored mumtiple big keys for well under fmv with little to no effort. I do it every year. Glad yall had fun. Dont waste time on the couple venders that are out of their mind.
