The CFTP option is pretty sweet no doubt, but that’s why I went with the base car. I didn’t want to have to go through what you went through.

I don’t see the point of people who buy the CFTP and switch out the wheels. It changes the whole point of that car. Yeah it’s a risk, but everything in life is a risk

Sorry to hear about the wheel bro. Last i spoke to ford in canada a few weeks ago they indicated the wheels are back ordered and shmee150 also broke a wheel a few weeks back during the gumball and at that time they indicated that the carbon fiber wheels are soldout in north america. Luckily i have wheel insurance from a 3rd party but it only covers me up to 5k.

There’s a stamp on those factory tires from Michelin, it’s a little FP stamp, stands for ford Performence. You can’t buy those I don’t believe, You can get forged wheels around 18-21lbs a wheel, the wheels just are to rare. You make up the weight by lightning up the car, cf hood, cf trunk, cf doors, cf seats, carbon ceramic brakes, Lexan windows, easy -400 or 500lbs reduction in weight would make this thing a rocket and handle even more legendary. Glad it’s getting fixed my guy cheers

$120+++k car and no warranty on the rims, what else is not covered?

So ford's bumper to bumper warranty didn't cover it? doesn't sound right to me that car has a 3 year 36k bumper to bumper warranty. How did that happen anyway?

This COULD happen again (IE like tomorrow) I would put the CF rims in a safe and get a set of AF rims
