Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways Quirks II Gala 28th April to 1st May 2017

Published 2017-05-06
We didn't take as much footage as we'd hoped as Tom was working at Dinas and Boston Lodge and I was - well, shattered really. Instead, I enjoyed riding the trains, lazing about and chatting to old friends instead of concentrating on the filming.

We'd like to thank all those people at the FR/WHR who worked so hard to make this another fantastic event - we all really appreciate it. Cheers, Dave

Thank you for a brilliant video. Sitting in my lounge I enjoyed every ride. Excellent scenery to.

Excellent Video. I really love that little 0-4-0 No.1.

Chuffin eck; that's interesting. Love the way the railway is integrated with road & buildings, or visa versa.

Another great video. I love that gravity train and the flying goose!

Impressive. Those little engines are SO powerful; look at all the weight they can pull. Quaint beyond quaint; must pop up there soon.
  • TUDO EM MINIATURA... Tudo incrivelmente limpo, organizado, eficiente, produzindo e trazendo muita economia para o país! Deve ser muito bom morar aí.

Amrywiaeth hyfryd o locomotifau/Lovely variety of locos
  • With what looked like First World war soldiers being chased by chaps on a motorbike, it seemed I was watching an even madder version of Whacky Races!

It does make a good sound. Seems to be capable of handling a decent load too.

I guess when your 'ordinary' engines are double Fairlies, the 'quirks' have to be really weird!

I saw a video of people buying a Chinese C2 loco for the Welsh Highland Railway. Is the C2 loco been modified to run on your trackege?

So is Number 4 a tender tank engine? It seems like that tender is far too small to have a water tank in it.

in the first clip had 'the goose' been fried? (again)
