Love your visit to Ilocos! More modernized now than before. I visited Vigan in the 80's before I left for the US, courtesy of our Caltex VP, Mr. Ablan, a relative of the Marcos family. We toured the Marcos home, the ruins of the Cathdral where Imee Marcos got married and many interesting sites. We stayed at Fort Ilocandia, now a hotel and casino. At that time they built sand dunes, in back of the hotel. That was one of my happy escapades after doing a successful broadway show with the Caltex ensemble at the Manila Metropolitan! I've been there 2018 from cagayan de oro city to manila then from manila going to ilocos and we stayed at vigan then to the house of marcos in ilocos to pagudpud... nice road trip... I love the ambiance of the balay by the sea so relaxing, no noise, only the waves of the ocean and birds chirping around... I love the place where you have a bonfire...

This made me miss PH soooooo much. 😢😢😢 OFW life is a struggle.
