    In India we conside bamboo as gold. Use it for energy, housing, anti bacterial products, making of paper , ethanol production what not. Coconut and bamboo are boons to humanity.

    4 years ago we bought a house with a garden. The previous owners had planted some bamboo. First we didn't notice but when the bamboo started to spread, we began to fight it. It's an extremely tough plant. The roots are growing horizontally which enables it to spread widely. Tried a few things but in consequence had to dig out the roots one by one...
