They launched the offensive for no other reason than the fact that they could do it. It gives the Ukrainians a morale boost and very good PR. They just put on a show for their backers. Yes they collected their strength for an incursion like this on an unexpected part of the border, and it works intially. However strategically this tiny landgrabb has really no value, the offensive has been contained, and the area of occupation is being slowly reduced. Once russian momentum starts picking up the ukrainians will get pushed back more and more. Ukraine lacks the forces to expand upon this initial breakthrough and to consolidate the entire initial gains. It is also a question of logistics, and Russians are now interdicting all their attempts to move up supplies. So not only can they not reinforce as fast as they are losing men, but they have trouble feeding them and supplying ammunition.

Kiev forces backed by mercenaries from several countries, including Poland and France, launched their attack in Kursk early on August 6. Weapons supplied by the United States and other Western allies of the Kiev regime were heavily used, which indicates that the attack was orchestrated with help from NATO. The attack appears to be a desperate attempt to make up for the recent defeats of Kiev forces, especially in the Donetsk region. The strategy and tactics Ukraine is showing in the course of its cross-border incursion into Russia’s Kursk region were developed with NATO, former U.S. Deputy Under Secretary of Defense Stephen Bryen has speculated. Weighing in on the possible goals of the Kiev regime’s operation, Bryen noted that Ukraine’s ability to withstand relentless attacks by Russian forces on the front line were “at a dead end.” “On a daily basis, Ukraine has been losing around 1,000 troops (killed and wounded) and morale in some brigades has likely gone to near zero. The losses, even though Ukraine does its best to cover them up, pervade society,” he wrote. Furthermore, amid drastic manpower shortages, there is "resistance building up among Ukraine’s population" in the face of new draconian draft laws. There are fears that “newly recruited troops will be thrown into combat as 'meat' brigades and slaughtered,” noted the author. While the operation is military, the hoped-for outcome is political. There is no doubt it is a big gamble," the security strategy expert concluded. A Ukrainian helicopter training center in Kremenchuk has been struck by missiles. The attack occurred late Sunday night near the Kogalymka railway station in Kremenchuk. The area hit includes a former military site with an extensive network of tunnels. Not far from this site is the Big Kohnovka airfield, which houses a flight school complete with barracks and a simulator for helicopter training. The tunnels at the military site are reportedly used for UAV production. The airfield is not only used for helicopter training but also for launching aircraft-type drones. Following the initial missile strike, a second attack was confirmed in the same area. This led to road closures and a door-to-door search in the nearby residential district. Earlier, it was reported a missile strike on an ammunition storage base near Poltava. This base, located underground, was used for storing rocket and aviation munitions. The strike on the base further illustrates the escalating nature of the conflict and the strategic targets being hit. In another related incident, a missile attack targeted Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel during their movement from the Zhytomyr region. This assault resulted in numerous injuries among Ukrainian soldiers.
  • With all due respect Dima, a single BTR-4 APC does not mean the area is under control. At best, its a recon in force.
  • @APHS-B
What strong control? You mean Ukrainian presence without Russian presence. But this may be precisely the idea: create the impression that the territory encompassed by the video geolocations periphery is under Ukrainian control, whilst itself may be insignificant to draw Russian Army. That is how Russian Special Forces got there: there was no one in between.
  • I strongly condemn YouTube censorship.
  • @DarkoBednjanec
"Ukrainians said they came to Moscow wtih 100 Abrams, but we didn't have any geolocation, so we'll just put half of the Russia in the grey zone." 🤡
  • @user-kh4of8vj2w
master what are you saying, the fact that you see Ukrainian tank in a village doesn't mean they have captured that village
  • @leunoff
10:29 This armored personnel carrier was later captured by Akhmat special forces, everyone inside was killed. There is already a video online.
  • @TheRussianAngle
Dima, it is incorrect to say 'COMPLETE UKRAINIAN CONTROL'. The number of troops involved in these raiding parties is very small. They cannot possibly have control over the large area of territory that you have coloured in yellow.
  • You cannot say Ukraine has complete control of an area because raiding parties have been spotted. How is this control?
  • @drirtwood1848
Take a selfie in any given spot and Dima will award your side "complete control"of everything with 5 miles of your position
  • @rhpuchner
for me it looks like small groups digging deep into russia and make selfies to provide the information it's their territory. But there are only small groups. 6000 soldiers are not enough for that amount of territory occupied.

Blackrock is getting desperate, all these Ukrainians dying for Blackrock profits 📈
  • @malganis7233
Losing intrest in this channel, after so much alarmism and Dima being ultra doomer - reports being very unreliable because of it.

The Ukrainians are employing the age old computer game strategy of charging through the front lines at a weak spot and then spamming weak high speed units in all directions to irritate and distract the human player. Causes chaos, but the human player however irritated and exasperated will win in the end, it just takes an annoying amount of time to deal with.
