This review is so comforting. I'm not the only person who felt this way. My favourite thing about the movie is that Jason Statham has a rule about never using a gun to kill anyone. It is never explained why but this is treated like a build up to a reveal about his past. This is never explained. Then in the third act he indiscriminately shoots everyone. This is also never explained.

This is genuinely my favorite review I have ever seen you make. This also shows why you are the best out there giving their reviews.

Putting Mini Driver in a movie for 2 scenes and then forgetting about her seems to be in her contract. She and Djimon Hounsou are the most wasted actors.

ā€œItā€™s the kind of movie that should never be released and also released 5 times a year.ā€ Sold! Now I have to watch this!

This review has the energy of a Dan Rant and I adore it.

This is the best review Dan has ever made! I need the directorā€™s cut of this review!

I wanted this movie to just be Jason Statham obliterating hapless bad guys for two hours. And I got Jason Statham obliterating hapless bad guys for two hours. I wish the last couple Equalizer flicks were half this much fun.

also props to you dan for not starting this video with "to be or not to be"
  • If the beekeeper is doing great at the box office hopefully there's gonna be a sequel and I want to see Nicholas Cage in The Beekeeper 2 as a villain and picture this when Jason Statham release a swarm of bees and Nicholas Cage say the iconic line from the terrible Wicker Man remake and a reference to Irwin Allen's The Swarm

I didn't even notice the 2 repair men fixing the leak from the ceiling until you mentioned it now šŸ˜‚

I was already considering seeing this movie, because I generally know what I am getting into for a Jason Statham action movie, and this review confirmed that I will go and see it.

I absolutely loved this movie. You are soooo correct about how insanely crazy this is. I loved how it also had some John Wick High Table thing going on too. Like Beekeepers have their own mantra and ways of doing things. Ultimately itā€™s a great January film and I recommend people go see it, if not for all the things Dan talked about but just that itā€™s a wildly good time.

What fun! I skipped to the end halfway through the review because I'm seeing this movie today and want to come back and finish this amazing review with more context - but the dual rating has me rolling with laughter. I can't wait for tonight, Thanks Dan!
  • @Zydros250
Dans exasperation over his joy and bafflement while watching this movie has me rolling

After watching the review, I feel like Dan said everything you needed to know in the first minute. This does sound like one of those ridiculous 80's or 90's action films that had just the most ridiculous premises that existed only to serve up action set pieces. And honestly, being a 90's kid, I'm here for it.

As a Brit, Danā€™s Stathe accent was absolutely awesome. Love it.
  • @ljs1668
Everything just fades out to black in this review for me, and a flashing light shines while a bullhorn blares out saying ā€œGo see this immediately!ā€ Exactly the type of movie I needed.

I remember seeing a commercial about this movie, and I thought it was a interesting film with the action scenes. But, once the name of the film was revealed, I was like ā€œ What theā€¦??ā€ I couldnā€™t help but laugh. So, by the sound of your excitement and anger, I had a feeling this film was going to be that insane.
