CLUTCH PEDAL BITE POINT & FREEPLAY ADJUSTMENT

You can adjust the height of the bite point if you want a lower or higher clutch engagement to adapt the shifting behavior of your car to your driving habits. You may prefer a lower bite point if you start up on an inclined street or driveway, or if you travel uphill most of the time.
Also included is the clutch pedal freeplay adjustment guide which is also very simple. Pedal slack is mostly personal preference and there is no hard and fast rule to this. What is given in the video tutorial is simply a guide and reference to those who need it.
Pedal height is entirely up to you. The tutorial provided in this video is only optional. It simple and easy to follow, and only a basic tool is needed to complete the task.

I thought the synchros were going bad on my 2012 civic Si, it wouldn’t shift in high rpm’s but the actual issue was that the previous owner had this at the lowest possible catch point and you had to push down the pedal all the way for the clutch to catch. I raised it all the way and now the car is totally back to life and will shift smooth at any rpm. Thank you!

Great video, this is a big $$$ saver for DYI’s. Together with knowing the difference between a worn out clutch and linkage free play this is important too. Not all shops would disclose that this 5 minute adjustment is all it needs. Good shops would do it as a courtesy I believe. Thanks 🙏🏼

Just had a shop install my clutch and i damn near had to be fully off the clutch to find the bite point. used this to fix the problem now the bite point feels mint 💯
