Mac Miller bio for SEO:

Malcolm James McCormick (January 19, 1992 – September 7, 2018), known professionally as Mac Miller, was an American rapper and record producer. Miller began his career in Pittsburgh's local hip hop scene in 2007, at the age of fifteen. In 2010, he signed a record deal with independent label Rostrum Records and released his breakthrough mixtapes K.I.D.S. (2010) and Best Day Ever (2011). Miller's debut studio album, Blue Slide Park (2011), became the first independently distributed debut album to top the US Billboard 200 since 1995.

In 2013, he founded the record label imprint REMember Music. After his second studio album, Watching Movies with the Sound Off (2013), he left Rostrum and signed with the major label Warner Bros. Records in 2014. With them, he released four studio albums: GO:OD AM (2015), The Divine Feminine (2016), Swimming (2018), and the posthumous Circles (2020). For Swimming, he was posthumously nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. Along with recording, he also served as a record producer for himself and other artists under the pseudonym Larry Fisherman.

One of hip-hop’s most tragic losses, we all miss you Mac ❤️

i often think of the music we would have gotten from Mac if he just lived through the pandemic. The COUNTLESS hours that all of us know he would’ve spent in his studio making the most legendary pieces of music for us. He had so much more in him. R.I.P MAC❤️♾️

Couldn't have wished for a better Christmas gift, Rest In Paradise Malcolm 🙏🏽🕊
  • Swimming and Circles are two projects I’ll always be thankful for as they helped lift me through a long dark time in my life. Mac had heart and was a true artist. Rip 92’ infinity 🙏

KIDS is still one of my favorite projects because it takes me back to being a carefree highschool kid every time, perfectly captures a moment in time that everyone went through
  • RIP to one of the most down to earth, honest artists. Helped me through some tough shit listening to his music, we all love you and miss you Malcom.
  • Mac's family lived in a different home in Point Breeze for a small portion of his very early childhood before they moved to his main childhood home. My parents were his neighbors at the new house and often heard him playing the drums and creating his new music inside. My parents ended up moving to his family's old house, which is where I grew up. His name was engraved on my bedroom door. I was pretty young when I learned who he was so I never had really listened to his music until around now. I do remember playing at Blue Slide Park a lot, going down the big blue slide on pieces of recycled cardboard it was a classic activity for kids in the neighborhood. RIP.

I never thought I would ever miss someone I never met in person. But that person’s music has carried me through so many phases of my life. RIP MAC. Fly high.
  • Sadly I got introduced to his works in 2022 after he passed away. But he is one of the few artists who are very close to my heart. Listening to him, watching him feels like he is a genuine and sincere friend.
  • Here I am 5 years 4 months later, tears streaming down my face. I wish I could say thank you for all you have given me, I just wish I could have helped you the same way you helped me.. I miss you man, I just want to say thank you for the help with my addictions and taking me to a better place, I know you're up there. Forever my favorite rapper till the day I die R.I.P. Malcom McCormick you maybe gone but you will never be forgotten. Thank you for everything MOST DOPE!🤘
  • Met Mac for the first time in 2013 and saw him several times through the years. He always asked, “you good?”. He was such a genuine and funny dude. I cherish the memories I have with him. He inspires me daily to live my life out of love and to just keep swimming. Rip broski. Most Dope, that’s forever.
  • Mac was a beautiful artist with a tormented soul. The world is a darker and sadder place without him in it. I will listen to his music until the day I die
  • @Machead92
Been waiting for this one!! Mac is underrated and should have won the Grammy for best rap album in 2020 for swimming. Mac’s music will continue to inspire forever…
  • Still the only artist's death that actually made me cry. Watching Movies With The Sound Off and Faces were the soundtrack to my late teens & early adulthood. R.I.P. Mac, forever an icon ❤
  • @omerbloch
IMO he was the most unique artist of the 2000s era. He changed music, gave others a platform to prove themself and created a path for rappers to try new genre. We will never see another one like him. Absolute GOAT. 92 - infinity
  • Been listening to make since I was 12-13 years old when kids first dropped. Never got to see him live and it haunts me to this day. This is the only celebrity death I’ll never get over. 92-infinity. Miss you everyday Mac.

perfect circle/godspeed is one of my favorite songs ever from mac. I love how reflective and honest he is during the entire track.
  • My heart 🥹 I followed him from album to album but didn’t know much about him. After he passed I grieved so much I couldn’t bring myself to watch videos like this because I wanted to remember him by feeling him in his music. My bf had said once that “Circles sounds unfinished. It doesn’t have the magic in it like Swimming. Almost like they forgot to add salt.” And I can’t believe my ears that it was actually unfinished! I’m glad this came up on my feed. Thank you for honoring Mac in such a beautiful way. 🙏🏼💕
