  • I was having some problems with irritability, so I gave some salt to my wife. No more problems! Thanks, Doc.
  • Low sodium levels caused me to black out. I woke up with a busted up face and head on my bathroom floor. My BP was dropping to about 80/50. I eat a lot of salt now to where strangers comment saying I am killing myself. Salt is very important. Salt food to taste and enjoy it.

The root word of ‘salary’ is salt. Salt was very valuable in the past, so much so, that people were paid in salt.

I put so much salt on my stuff. People look at me like I have three heads. Carnivore for 6 weeks and down 30lbs

My symptoms of low sodium was lack of motivation and no dreams. First it came as slight fatigue. Stayed as slight fatigue for a long time. That later turned to a total lack of motivation to do anything. And then I realized I didnt have any dreams for a long long time. Once I started drinking salted water, within 2 days the motivation and energy returned and I began to dream again.

Dr. Duuuuuuude!!! I don't do salt...light salt chips, don't cook with it....very little on my fries,etc......well I've got all these symptoms for other reasons...I had totally forgot about grabbing the saltshaker for those bad night foot cramps.....but the headache n irritability??? I literally just went into the kitchen and ate pinch o salt...came back n sat down...finished the video and MY HEADACHE IS GONE! it was a killer too... THANK YOUUUUUUI

The other thing they dont tell you is that sodium regulates ALL the other electrolytes. When your sodium drops you lose your whole electrolyte regulation. Salt is more important than people have been told.

The saying " Take things with a grain of salt" makes so much more sense now!!
  • @RubyMorton
My dad often puts salt in his palm and throws it back. For years now, he's 94 and we just put the shaker by his chair.
  • Lack of salt actually can cause migraines, not just headaches. I've started taking salt multiple times a day plus additional hydration, and I've been migraine free (except for one tension migraine that isn't from salt) for a month! This is after over a year of 5/7 migraine days a week and multiple medications from a neurologist. I'm weaning myself off the daily preventative with zero recurrence so far!

I found out the hard way how important salt is with a trip to the hospital with cardiac symptoms. After they tested everything except my toe nails they told me I haven’t been getting enough salt!

This was well times. I was telling someone I think my electrolytes are low then pulled up YouTube and found this as my first recommended video. Big brother is always watching....
  • One thing I’ve found about adding salt to my diet is cravings for those salty snack chips have completely gone away. It turns out my addiction to Doritos was just a craving for the salt they contain.
  • @TheHaratashi
When I saw this I thought no way - they tell us we get way too much salt in our diet anyway. I've been having heart arrhythmia problems for several years and my doc wants to put me on drugs and start doing ablations. So after seeing this video I added up my daily salt intake which is easy to do since I have a very simple diet. I was shocked to find out I'm only getting 17% of the RDA of salt. Plus I drink tons of plain water each day. I'll start adding more salt to my diet - who knows, maybe it will cure my heart problem. Thank you for this video,
  • @Hells_Gift_MB
Finally worked out that I'm lacking salt because I bang back insane amounts of water each day so it's essentially being flushed out. Took a little bit a salt and few minutes later my energy was right back
  • @IrisMG
I spent the first half of my early adult life having eliminated salt -- at least ADDED salt -- from my life. I even believed it caused the hypertension and heart disease that killed my favorite uncle. I had no idea the government and dietitians were making an attempt on my life the whole time. Now I'm having to spend the REST of my life trying to undo so much damage. Makes me angry.

Now I understand why my heart stopped working two weeks ago, I was unconscious for 30 mins, no pulse , not breathing , resuscitated by CPR, I'm so lucky to be alive.
  • @jovicrazed
There's a reason they put salt blocks out for farm animals.
