This is the tennis court in Compton where Serena and Venus practiced when they were little. Always so much meaning behind her performances, beautiful

We don’t talk about this performance enough! 2 years after and I still got chills.

She has mastered her voice. She has so much control and command over the sound that comes out of her mouth. Completely FLAWLESS!

All of the hard work Compton did to do this... It should probably turn into a little documentary.... Most people don't realize this changed a lot of those people's lives... One member of the orchestra was accepted into a prestige college that caters to the arts for their involvement in this performance.. a few singers went tour with mainstream artists. A dancer leads a dance program and has gone viral on TikTok for a choreographed dance... Again, we get 5 minutes but those who were a part of putting it together get a life changing experience.

The fact that’s she CHOSE to skip performing at the Oscars to perform in Compton and that she primarily hired people from Compton is so powerful. You cant say that Beyoncé doesn’t put on for her people
  • Her ability to make her live versions better than the studio versions is unmatched
  • @annana813
This feels like old Hollywood. No one is putting performances like this anymore
  • This performance brings TEARS To my eyes everytime I watch it. What a beautiful gift to our culture!!! To our Sisters &’so apropos to this story, exceptionally written & performed!

Notice how beyonce never lacks in her performances
  • This is a performance that definitely ages well. Seems the most viewed part of the video is the Blue cameo. She did that and you can feel the moment Beyoncé became Mom when she said "baby lift your head."

Beyoncé mannerisms when she performs are so pretty. She’s so beautiful. Her voice is healthy and full. My God 😍 she is blessed
  • ITS ALWAYS THE VOCALS FOR ME! Beyoncé never misses. The mic was ON.

2:33 Their voices harmonizing on the word "gold" is beyond beautiful... it makes me gasp a little inside. This performance makes me cry each time.. the musicality is so stunning, i cant describe it...
  • They way she controls her stage amazes me. Every camera angle is on point. It's almost magical ✨️

Compton and that tennis ball green/yellow!! That woman was right Venus and Serena don't just play against the boys...they ARE the big boys. Beyoncé, backing singers and dancers gave me chills! 🎾🎾🎾
  • @Empressive
She should have won an Oscar for this. Beautiful and powerful performance!
  • @reshaunc
Can we acknowledge that every single person in every shot looks amazing. The monochrome compliments every complexion that was shown
  • @kayflowers89
I know it sounds like she isn't singing live, but that's because she's gained control and command of her vocals to where it sounds flawless.

There will NEVER be another Beyonce. This is EXCELLENCE AT ITS BEST. It is a blessing when your only competition is yourself.
