Veins shoot blood from the lower body towards the heart against gravity, but sometimes because of weak valves it cannot push up blood effectively and this causes pooling of blood. This condition is called as Varicose veins. This pooling of blood causes the veins to bulge and may appear bluish behind the skin. It could become very painful if not attended in time. Here are few techniques and tips to overcome varicose vein.

The most valuable and underrated piece of advice I got from this was to sit with crossed legs instead of legs hanging down, like in a chair. Also, that varicose veins can develop from too much STANDING, not just sitting, which is the cause for mine! Thank you so much, Doctor!

Hydration is also key. An issue I stuggle with. I don't understand for the life of me how I keep forgetting to drink water!! Everyday I say I will and end of day comes and I realize I haven't, at least enough. But there was a time when I actually was forcing myself to drink more and I noticed less visibility of varicose veins, but mostly, less pressure and pain in my lower legs. Note to self: DRINK WATER!!!! 🤪

  • @PeacePlease.
Thanks for all these tips. I do have varicose veins, but they are not painful. Wish they didn't look quite so bad, but at this age and stage I'm care more about health than appearance. I practice wellness & am an avid advocate of alternate medicines and cures. The young man in your video is so supple, and demonstrates very well. I may not be able to do all you recommend but I shall surely try the simple and sweet ones. True, Listening to your body is vital, and I'm glad you mention it often. "If you listen to your body when it whispers, you won't have to hear it scream". Keep up the good work Dr. Hansaji. Ushta-te!!
