  • I was confused over half of the way through 7 1/2 Deaths... but the end tied it all together and i wanted to read it again. What an interesting thought experiment! Very clever!😊

11/22/63 is totally worth the length. So good!!

Still alive is one of my all time favorite books! Scary but so interesting!!!
  • Yup, I vote for 11/22/63; it really good and worth the commitment. Hmm, maybe time for a reread for me. 📚😊

I don't regret reading Evelyn Hardcastle, but I couldn't tell you anything about it 3 months after finishing, other than the dark little spectre that was unnecessary for the book. All of the stuff crammed into the book could have been separated into two different books. With that, I still say give it a try; have a fluff book ready to go for when you finish.
  • I have never read A Little Life for similar reasons. I don't think I ever will. 11/22/63 was a bit long for me. I felt like he could have done it in 600 pages, but I did like the ending.

I have Still Alice on my shelf but haven’t read it for the same reason as you. Hopefully I can put aside my fears and just read it. Having a mother and grandmother who both had Dementia/Alzheimer makes me scared that one day I might develop it too.

I read 11/22/63 in both audio and print in tandem to get the feel of the characters and the writing and then went with mostly audio, which is really well done. I recommend it!

71/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle should be read without any other distraction. I needed to put it down and reflect on what I had read and put it all together. In the end I gave it 4 stars

I’ve read Still Alice, A Little Life and 11-22-63. All fantastic. 11-22-63 will read quicker than you think and is an easier read too. A Little Life is a slow read that you need to be patient for and not rush but worth it. And Still Alice was fine once you got into it.

Want to read 11-22-63 and the size stops me.. that would take me a few months to read.

11/22/63 was great .. a little life was great .. the 7 1/2 lives of Evelyn Hardcastle was not my cup of tea . Enjoy 😊
  • Trying to read Crescent City but being a Christian some of the references in the book are Satanist. Has anyone else had a hard time with this?
