While celebrating their latest victory, Sonic and his friends travel to a brand new island in hopes of a lengthy vacation. No sooner does Sonic reach the Leaf Forest Zone, he discovers his friends have mysteriously vanished! With a new army of Badniks invading, it becomes all-too-clear Dr. Robotnik is still up to his usual tricks. Sonic wastes no time running to action, and quickly rescues a young rabbit named Cream who decides to join Sonic on his quest. Together, they head for the Hot Crater and the Music Plant in search of Chaos Emeralds and missing heroes...
