You know what’s actually makes this mod even worse (for sonic/sink)? Sonic has a huge fear/phobia of water, so the fact that he’s suffocating in something he’s afraid to be in is worse than it already is. Edit: so it doesn’t seem like it’s canon that he has hydrophobia, my apologies, but he’s definitely not fond of water either, as can be seen in many games, so take my comment as you will.

the willpower part makes alot of sense, think about it he never gives up even in a life or death scenario, therefor itd take way more than that to kill him

Q: Why does sonic randomly stop in the middle of the song? A: Well when he stops it means he has died but his will power begins to start singing not letting him die and that’s why he comes back alive. so if his willpower gives up then he would eventually die.

Lore : Sink.exe was just a normal sonic that dealt so many pain and he was alone how he got stuck in the water was that his leg got connected to a chain that leads to a crashed underwater mine, the crack sounds were from his leg breaking by the chain or his lungs collapsing due to the massive amount of water that got in, soul sonic is with him, his willpower was keeping him alive but he was just still there drowning with blood coming out of his eyes and nose due to how long he’s been there For people who know the spin dash: he didn’t do the spin dash because it was in the labyrinth zone in sonic 1 so the spin dash never existed
