I would love a sci-fi naughty dog game. They really need to expand

I understand its easier to have a sequel to great games. Its (sometimes) easier to market and it can come with bigger sales but would like so see Naughty Dog move onto new IPs and flex their creative muscles a bit more.

I mean they were kind of consider just the uncharted studio till last of us. And the formula for uncharted to last of us is like 90%. this is not Titanfall2 to Fallen Order where these are radical different games. This is demonsouls to darksouls, your buying 90% what you already bought a played but a different trademark names over the top. Which may also be leading to why this generation feels like a wash, majority of the games have the "wait havn't i already played this game" feel because you kind of have already played it and played it a lot.

His testing the market's reaction to the idea of a part 3. Of course they want to make it desperately, after all it's the most profitable game their studio can potentially make, but the controversy of part 2 may have already damaged the franchise too much, so he has to test it to find out more about the risk.

for me i'd looove a small game from Rockstar before the end of the 2020s like a Bully 2 or Manhunt 3 then a much bigger game like a pirate game or medieval one

I remember feeling a certain pressure to get a ps5 because if i didn't i'd miss out on all the amazing games. i've had my ps5 for like 2 years now i think and i've yet to feel like i got my moneys worth. and there is already rumours of a ps6.

Am I the only one happy they decided to cancel the live service last of us game? Everyone seemed disappointed but they are not known for making live service games and the current climate is everyone not wanting live service since there is already a shit ton out.

The last of us could be their main IP for many decades if they could continue the good stories. Now just they gonna release part 2 on pc with the TV show and part 3 . They will make money but the IP had potential for much more .

I feel like The Last of Us should have been like the Life is Strange titles, where they are different stories but still are connected to the same world. I feel like it would have been cool to see how people are dealing with life and the choices they make like how the first one was with Joel still dealing with his daughters death and getting closer to Ellie making him do what he did in the Hospital, but now I feel like its kinda too late because now when people mention The Last of Us its just Ellie and whoever is left in the series, so if they change now I dont think it will land well, and Part 2 does seem like an ending to Ellie, so I guess we'll see what he has in mind.

Also, if people played Uncharted the lost legacy, they set up a perfect sequel with Nadine and Chloe as the main characters. it's almost like they pretending that game doesn't exist though.

Good. Sooner the better. No hate against those games, but throughout the lifespan of the franchise, I have only ever bought 1 copy of each game (LoU Remastered on the PS4 was the first one I played cause I started late) and only then bought last of Us 2 on ps4 and didn't buy another version of either game since. It's been their two game cash cow for a while time for something else

10:47 i dont think its vaild saying playing on old pc hardware matters. People will be playing on old hardware low settings 1080p instead of 4k ultra settings. Theyre not gonna make a game thats so graphically intense it only a 4090 runs it
