The more I learn, about geometry nodes the more it seems like a whole new type of 3D software on its own.

Blender's real purpose for geometry nodes turns out to be just a way for no one to ever delete the default cube ever again
  • @richochet
Thank you for actually explaining what's going on

Thank you so much for not wasting my time. The first channel I found "explaining geometry nodes" was some 4 minute intro with nothing showing me how to work. Leading to a second 20 minute video STILL with nothing showing me how to work with geometry nodes. Finally leading to a third video that doesn't get to actually showing you how to do anything at all until like 10 minutes into another 30 minute video.

15:00 If you need to move your base mesh (the cones) and still have them point to the targeted empty, you must select "Relative" on the Object's Info node for the empty, otherwise the cones will point in the direction of the empty as if they were still located at the origin.
  • Finally, someone who knows what they're doing and explains it marvellously. So glad I found you, thanks

Please more videos like this. It’s been one of the best explanation on nodes. Would also love a series like this for material nodes. Thank you again for your time to make this tutorial.

Really good video. The way Chris explains the concepts is very easy to follow and understand.
  • @Awakenbeing
thnx. This videos explains basics well for what Geometry node could be used for.
  • Thanks for doing new tutorials Chris.Just gave up on one nice one, to map some colors with geometry nodes and a jpeg. Have followed some geo node tutorials, and it's very hard for me to find how to get the legacy nodes. I'm sure it's tough for you Blender Gurus to keep up doing tutorials, so thanks for helping those of us that are really new to Blender.

Thank you for helping me diving in to the world of geometry nodes. Before this video, I didn't have the slightest idea how to understand all of this.

This is a great explanation of fundamental concepts! Thank you.
  • @muneer4k
    Wonderful tutorial. Many thanks
  • @smilgu
Thank's a lot - very goog and clear explanation!
  • @TubeArmadillo
I don't like talking heads in the videos that much, but as long as this head explains thing this well, I do not mind. Thank you.

I'm 4min in and my brain already expanded
