But the imam Adam Kelwick decided not to stay inside. He and other members of his community stepped out with home-cooked food and crossed the police line, determined to speak to the people on the other side.
“The reason it’s so important to talk right now is because we see what the other option is,” says Kelwick, who believes that talking to people, even in extreme circumstances, can help heal divisions.

What a decent man
-
It’s scientifically proven that all we need is a daily hug to keep us at peace
-
They just answered the obvious. "They didn't know what they were protesting for" 💀
-
England needs to explain why they attacked this kind man immediately!
-

-
He is true leader of the community
-
The personal story: “I’m only able to afford this brick that I’m sorry for throwing at your mosque. You see, I left school due to bad habits. I lost my friends due to girls. Please forgive me” 🥺🙏🏻
-
A better British person than Tommy Robinson by far
-
we need more people to be like him
-
Great courage, very happy to see people just being able to talk to each other. ❤

You want to know how bad Britain has become? My grandma visited the UK as she’s Latina. Spanish. She was greeted with some kindness as five young boys grabbed her and kicked her. They stole her money, motorcycle, purse, everything! They were rude to her. What has happened to the UK? 🥺😢

I'm still baffled as to why anyone approached the Mosque or refugee hotel when it was a cardiff born 17 year old with two christian parents that did it.
-
Make tea, not war.
-
Do you ever think that all anyone wants in life is just to be hugged? 0:50

"So the reason why it is so important to talk right now is because the other option is don't talk and let the ignorance, hatred, misunderstanding remain and fester and grow." Love this part
-
Blessed be the peace makers
-
This is the kind of guy I want in my community
-
Beautiful. I think one of the issues is that many of the far right protestors come from places with low immigration, so a lot of it is to do with fear of the unknown.
