Spektrum sent me this new Firma 2-in-1 Brushless Crawler Motor/ESC to show it in action. The install was super simple because it already comes with an IC3 connector installed. The best part about this is that it is space saving to all you to mount other items in the little space you have in chassis. The sensored brushless power is very smooth and quiet. For the price savings over dedicated Motor and ESC options, this is definitely worth looking at.

That looks like a sweet combo.. nice and smooth

I have both this and the hobbywing 2 in 1 fusion. In my opinion the hobbywing is way better as it’s sensor is a lot faster and has no lag like the spektrum has. Also hobbywing includes program card and they are both the same price. All in all I feel the hobbywing blows it away.

Axle skids are a great investment for a non portal rc. It's one of the first things I did to mine. Especially if you have nice housing covers. The stainless helps it slide over obstacles better to. Club-5 have some really good ones.

    What a great video ~~~My friend~

good one mate, also excited for that Phoenix. really like that crawler course, not so much the winches... haha peace
  • You can also program all the smart systems with a smart controller. Just something to know so you don’t have to buy the extra card if you already have a smart controller.
  • studio set-up is looking Sweet Tony, thanks for the review, i still think the fusion is a better set-up out of the box.

I need a review of the 2300kv spectrum 2in1 on a 2 speed crawler. Want to see if it still has low speed precision crawling capability and high speed 2nd gear capability.

Hey mate, it's your choice but Josh said he got a fusion in by removing end dust cover.... Have fun 👍
  • @jpyt7182
What port on the receiver does it use?
  • Rebadged Hobbywing Fusion. Not a bad thing at all. Excellent crawler setup especially the FOC feature. Hobbywing program cards work on nearly every Spektrum ESC I've tried especially the smart ones like in the Felony etc.
  • @nj2033
Makes me wonder if a Hobbywing programme card will work with it... It's definitely a Hobbywing made Spektrum branded product
  • @allyoucando8486
I still prefer the Fusion from Hobbywing, as you say is more smooth, with in mind with smooth control you get a loot of control with a punchy system like Firma you lose some control on the torque, hobbywing Fusion have the program card is plus
  • @GuyonaMoose
Sick set up dude. I don’t think the vanquish will fit 550 length motors however.
  • @KawiMikeZX10
It looks identical to a fusion. Have you tried plugging a Hobbywing program card in? I’ve used the Hobbywing card on all my Arrma and Losi stuff.
  • @metalrc
How are you one handed driving with the associated remote the wheel sticks out the side sofar
  • @modzilla74
What a disappointment that it doesn't include a program card. My HW fusion Did include the card. That would keep me from buying the spektrum. I'm also curious if the 2300 model will have any overheating issue due to the higher kv rating. I would think it has a smaller sweet spot .
