First Impressions: Sonic Prime

I finished the show today and I am already craving season 2! The voice actors were amazing and a Sonic MLP crossover would be awesome! I mean, they already made one with Transformers. Just sayin’

Slight nitpick, but does it really qualify as a "First Impression" when it seems like you've seen the entirety of the initial batch? Eight episodes is 3-4 hours, that's a commitment, when it's traditionally been that the first 2-3 episodes at most should be enough to sell someone on a show. Such is the flexibility of batch releases, I guess? Do you think the show is worth checking out for someone who is largely unfamiliar with the franchise? The premise feels like it's counter-intuitive to that, as it looks to be largely centered on presenting iterations of characters the audience is expected to be familiar with. I'd never use Into the Spider-Verse or the MCU to introduce someone to Spider-Man, for instance, since both are quite reliant on presenting a different take on the character. Should a similar consideration be taken with Sonic Prime?
