Rich men north of Richmond.....the politicians in Washington DC.
  • @1980bwc
Cant believe yall missed the "Miners instead of Minors on an island somewhere" line. That was the hardest line in the entire song.

The crazy part about his story is that he was dealing with substance abuse, reached his rock bottom and prayed to god that if he helped him through this situation that he would devote his life to god and helping others. Then he made this as his very first public song just recorded in his backyard and it instantly changed his life.. less than 30 days after reaching rock bottom and praying to god.. its a remarkable story.. hes been approached by labels trying to buy his soul but he refuses. He will remain independent and make music that touches the hearts of everyone.

My father was labourer in a hot African sun and he did it for 27 years to feed 3 kids and his wife. My mother swept my high school steps. I didn’t get any easier but I’ve been blessed in my life. I know what this man is talking about. More power to you brother ❤
  • @sircasm6578
That's not country music. That's straight-up Appalachian folk music. 😊

There were hundreds of iconic anti Vietnam war (protest) songs of the 60’s and 70’s. Now we have the first New World Order Protest anthem!!! 🌟 Thank you Oliver Anthony!

Sat behind him and his family 2 weeks ago on a flight. Genuine down to earth guy and his kids were awesome. He's for the people. Allllll the people!
  • "I wish politicians would look out for miners, and not just minors on a island somewhere". That line is gold
  • Oliver was 30 days sober when he did this video ,one night he dropped to his knees and asked God to help him get over his drinking problem and depression. (A local paper interviewed him)
Now look at him all i can say is God is good and I wish this guy the best of luck. I just hope Tom,Adam and Upchurch get to him and let him know to stay independent and not give his soul to the music industry.
    ✌🏼♥️🇺🇸
  • This is basically the anthem of all of us blue collar people . This is so true Z love that this song is uniting people
  • Out of the ten richest counties in the US five are around DC. Four in Virginia and one in Maryland. That tells me our public servants are living much better that the rest of our country. We’ve been sold out to foreign countries and corporations. Enough is enough.

As a black woman, I relate to a large majority of what that man is singing about and I feel it to my core. Looks like I have a new favorite artists!
  • Young men putting themselves, 6 feet in the ground, since the rest of the world keep tearing them down is a hard ass line. Respect
  • Something about these guys talking about their favorite country artist bring back faith in humanity for me. I love every genre of music, and it's nice to see other cultures be open minded about country music.
  • Gentlemen, welcome to authentic, real, raw, Appalachian Blues. Sung by an authentic Scotch-Irish Appalachian boy.
Appalachian Blues like Bluegrass has it's roots in Irish folk music and Mississippi Delta blues.
Just a factory worker and tradesman a few weeks ago, writing songs and singing in the woods with his dogs. THIS is the REAL DEAL. Enjoy.

As a hardworking factory worker father of four. This song broke me. Not going to lie this song made me cry. This guy understands.
  • The other day me and my girlfriend were out at dinner, and a guy on a motorcycle rode through dowtown on a motorcyle blasting this song. We both js looked at eachother an smiled, it really is the people's anthem. You could feel it, everyone there knew the song.
