Sissel Talks - "Winter Morning"

Published 2022-10-21
“Winter Morning” describes the special mood I often have early winter mornings: I feel uplifted even though it’s dark outside, as I know that within a moment the sun will shine and spread its light on all around. A song with tranquility and for reflection. I hope you will like it!

This song is recorded with The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Sqare, Utah

  • Not morbid at all. I rise before the dawning of the day and walk with my dog enjoy the quietness and beauty . Nordic countries are very beautiful. Your music is unmatched in every way. Thank you, and Happy New Year 2923
  • Sissel to live with half darkness with a beautiful fireplace and with you singing it would be fabulous! With you there is no dark night possible as you always shine! I live in Canada so I know what you are talking about! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🍀🍀🍀🍀🌹🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️❤️

Having worked in the Northwest Territories I experienced the short dark days of winter. One could more or less learn to live with them but the redeeming feature of it all was the long, sweet & short-lived days of the northern summer.
  • Bravo! Beautiful! Homages! 🧚🏻‍♂️🧚🏻‍♂️🧚🏻‍♂️ JAR

It's nice to hear you tell about this kind of situations, that make your life; and that add to what you already are as a singer, and complete you more as a human being. Thank you.

I now better understand possibly why my mother called me Dawn.
  • “There are times when solitude is better than society, and silence is wiser than speech. We should be better Christians if we were more alone, waiting upon God, and gathering through meditation on His Word spiritual strength for labour in his service. We ought to muse upon the things of God, because we thus get the real nutriment out of them. . . . Why is it that some Christians, although they hear many sermons, make but slow advances in the divine life? Because they neglect their closets, and do not thoughtfully meditate on God's Word. They love the wheat, but they do not grind it; they would have the corn, but they will not go forth into the fields to gather it; the fruit hangs upon the tree, but they will not pluck it; the water flows at their feet, but they will not stoop to drink it. From such folly deliver us, O Lord. . . .” ― Charles Spurgeon
