As this is a very, very niche community, I'm sure I may have stepped on a few fins, but this was a labor of love. I really do want us to be better, and the best way we can do that is by acknowledging where we need to change.

I used to do mermaid photography and as much as I loved doing that kind of art I had to get out because of how toxic the mer community had become.
