In this interview, Arshan sits down with one of this generation’s most fearless & creative artists, Teezo Touchdown. Teezo makes music that you can say is indie, alternative, rap, rock, and really just all the above. They sit down to talk about his project “How Do You Sleep At Night” & what really went into making that, songs like “OK”. Teezo was on tour during this time for the UTOPIA tour with Travis Scott.. so he talks about making Modern Jam with him in New York, and then eventually performing at Madison Square Garden. Teezo also mentions how artists like Tyler The Creator and Drake took him under his wing. They both featured him on their albums “Call me If You Get Lost” & “For All The Dogs”. Teezo tells the exact story of pulling up to Drake and making their songs “7969 Santa” and “Amen”. Teezo talks about how he used to study the come up of artists like Travis Scott and Drake to see what they were doing right and wrong, so he could then apply that to his career. Teezo talks about downloading interviews of artists like Lil Uzi Vert from his library at Beaumont Texas and watching them as a teenager. He also talks about how Sahbabii and Partynextdoor are his favourite writers, and how he would love to work with Frank Ocean. Watch the full interview to hear what he had to say.

i love how teezo asked to do the interview with a casual office background rather than a clean open space or something aesthetic, because i think he was intentionally pushing you out of your comfort zone with that, which is so important.
  • @JadaTalia
He really is such a student and it shows in his work. He is beyond great and will continue to blow our minds and introduce this generation to what we couldn’t imagine.

One day teezo touch down is going to take over the Super Bowl one day and when he performs it’s going feel like that one episode of SpongeBob with the rock star performance.

He looks warm and cold and the same time 🤔 Seriously though, happy you got to interview such an inspiring and creative artist, was pretty interesting when he said he wanted to find a hobby he couldn’t monetize. Great interview to start 2024 off with 🔥

seeing how youre channel has gone up so much since that "quitting kto" is genuinely so inspirational
  • so hooked on him and his art and ( not to be corny ) inspired by how he never stops ! i come from a long line of people who see creativity as a waste of time and think success is when you work a 9-5 settle down and start a family , usually as young as possible … he’s re-sparked my energy to change that and want something different for myself ! wish i could’ve got some tickets in sf but there will always be a next time <3

Much love to Teezo. As a Texan, let alone coming from Houston with older parents who crafted the music/life influences that inspired the music I make now, this interview was a perfect example of loving yourself, who you are, where you came from, and never stopping being a fan. 🤍
  • @onyoblocca6304
I’m only 10 mins in and I’m feeling very inspired. I don’t think u could have gotten a better guestv
  • @tot4099
His music just isn’t for me personally but he seems like a student of the game, and appreciates all aspects of art, including the journalism of art, very humble and willing to admit his faults, and open to his inspirations and what he likes and not afraid to give anybody some shine, so teezo touchdown, I am not a fan of your music, but I am a fan of you and would like to see you win
