Model plots show tropical system heading for Florida

We now have model plots that show this system heading for the Florida coast. This tropical system has a 60% chance of developing within the next week. The likely path is over Florida and into the Gulf of Mexico, but that would not happen until early next week, WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth said.

For the most part a lot of the tropical storms have trajectories toward Florida in the beginning stages. I’ve lived here in Miami/Fort Lauderdale for almost three years now and thank goodness have not been affected by any of the storms 🤲🏿
