The fact that Kurtis didn't mention that the way that the girl got all her boob nails was by stealing them from coffins in the middle of the night.

As a Czech person watching this reaction...... I am surprised how did this film get into the US market while everything that is described in the movie is probably getting over the heads of casual viewers. This movie has a lot of historical references which includes famous legends as well as describing ordinary life of ordinary, not aristocratic people or Catholic church priests. I like how they put so many legends, stories and even real events into such a short movie. Let me explain why is this movie so complex and hard to understand for non-Czech person, and even more difficult for American: Some reference: The priest being fat and other eating "whole turkey" is pinpointing the part of the history where the Church was becoming more of a money collector where you could have bought "desátek" which meant that you pay certain amount of gold, it justifies all your sins and you are cleansed. And everyone was religious back then, so the Church disused it for their profit so they lived in luxury, thus the portrayal of fat priest and eating meat, which was not so cheap back then. So it led a prominent priest called Jan Hus to try to reform the Church to clear it from this "purchasing cleansing" and take it back to its roots, as it was meant to be. So Jan Hus started preaching differently from "what was said" and he started to be disliked by the Church bishops, which led to burning of Jan Hus to death on pyre and it cause a huge revolution in Czech lands called Hussite wars in 15th century, which led to Crusades of Catholic Church to be sent over to the Czech lands to stop the rebellion, etc etc. Such a small reference, which hides a long history which influences our country even today. This is only one of many references, I could write thousands of words about references and legends portrayed in this movie. Thanks for the video. Greetings from the Czech Republic!
  • i am extremely uncomfortable with every single one of the women in this movie?? the men that animated this, i have an enormous amount of concerns

As a Czech person, I have a few things to point out from my POV: 1. The CGI quality is pretty bad because it's the 1st 3D animated movie that was made in Czechia (2008). 2. The unsettling humour is quite common in older movies and cartoons. That's just culture, ig... 😅😅😅 (Yeah, nudity isn't that bad over here.) 3. Jemmy's name was translated wrong, Kuba is a nickname for Jakub, which is Jacob (correct me if Jemmy is a nickname for Jacob). Katy... There's no translation for her original name as far as I can recall. Matthew's name was translated RIGHT!!! :D 4. The English dubbing is worse... The Czech one fits better. 😂 5. When I saw the movie as a child, I was terrified. 6. That specific clock, Orloj, is very symbolic to Czechia, which is why they didn't want it built anywhere else. Yes, I admit that this movie is VERY unhinged, but it is super popular over here. We normalise some stuff that would be considered more taboo on the western side of the world (atp I even figured out we get more detailed sex education than Americans). In a nutshell: This movie is like a "pearl" of the local movie industry.

I really thought in the end the goat would’ve made a contract with the devil to become humanlike and pretend to be katie 💀💀

“Once a loser, always a loser. Even if he eats caviar.” Can that be my senior quote?
  • @TessaImAMessa
It really bothers me how high definition this movie is.
  • @brielaga.
The word "goat/goats" has double meaning in Czech. It's also slang word for boobs. I believe that's why Kate's proportions are this way. It was ✨artistic choice✨
  • As a czech you're lucky to watch it as adult. The trauma that the movie gave me when 4 year old me was watching it in cinema is unbearable to this day.
  • So the people of that town can't tell the difference between a HUMAN GIRL and a GOAT IN A DRESS AND A WIG??!! I have no words
