The reason I love this album and rate it so highly is because it sounds *effortless*. For years there has been a little bit of trend chasing - this album is just like “fuck it - we are Pet Shop Boys, and this is what we do.”

What I find so amazing about this album is that it isn't merely a "very creditable late effort" from these guys: it's way better than that. In fact, after two weeks' listening, I'd place it on a par even with Behaviour.

This music is therapy for the soul. I've been following the Pet Shop Boys since I first heard West End Girls in the 1980s. Now I'm in my 60s and this music is just a work of art. Please keep it going. I do love it so. 🎉😊👍❤
