I feel blessed to have discovered the Pet Shop Boys as a Gen Z-er. Nobody I know in my age group knows about them. First heard of their top 80s hits from YouTube playlist by accident in 2019 and was hooked ever since. They are amazing in every decade. I hope I get to see them live before they retire. When I was growing up in Greece, in the late 1980s - early 1990s, Neil's lyric representations of being gay offered me something really special and valuable: the idea, the assurance I might say, that you can be happy, comfortable in your skin, and equal... as a gay person. This "lesson" was very indirect and non pedantic, still extremely clear and strong! So... A 51 year old New Athens Boy is here, today, contemplating and saying a huge, well deserved thank you to the Pet Shop Boys!

I have listened to this song three times, headphones on, lost in the rhythm. Every single time I get chills across my shoulders and up the back of my head then get lost in the lyrics and become very nostalgic. Absolutely beautiful piece of music and will always have a special place like so many of their songs. Just fantastic❤
