There’s also the theory of the Dursley’s birthday gifts representing the deathly hallows. In his first year, they sent a fifty pence piece (representing the resurrection stone), in his second year, they sent him a toothpick (representing the elder wand), and in his fourth year, they sent him a single tissue (representing the invisibility cloak).

Speaking of predictions. I was watching POA last night and when Ron says "You're going to suffer, but you'll be happy about it" , he wasn't far off with the events of Sirius later on. Finding the truth, watching Peter escape, then knowing he'll be alive just on the run and now has a Godfather. I thought that was pretty neat
  • “When all this is over we’ll be a proper family” I cannot read or watch this part without getting so incredibly mad, sad and just overall heartbroken at how this line NEVER comes true! It’s so unfair! 😭😭😭

Professor Snape say *you have a your mother's eyes * before he dies and that is beautiful quote and that made us one tear of your eyes

Back when the novels were first coming out, Rowling gave an interview to the entertainment journalist for a kids' show, a young man named Lizo Mazimba. At the end of the interview, he proposed to ask a question with the codicil that she might refuse to answer, then he asked whether there was a clue to the series in the repeated fact that Harry had his mother's eyes. Rowling pursed her lips, then said, "I hate observant readers."
  • It’s so much fun rereading this series and then making all of the random but interesting or important connections!

Haha, Draco must be a psychic if he was able to accidentally predict both Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione. Maybe he should teach an Advanced Matchmaking course?

One of my favorites was the true meaning behind Dumbledore’s last words to Snape. “Severas, Please”

Snape's hidden message in that first lesson is my personal number 1

Snape's final words is where he tells him that he looks like his mother

Much like Harry, I never cottoned on that the boy Petunia was referring to all the way back in the first film/book was Snape, not James. Rowling must have planned this twist well in advance.
  • The vanishing cabinet thing is correct and also has more foreshadowing ,In the 5th book Fred and George push Montague(a Slytherin quidditch player) into a cabinet and got stuck for a few days and noticed he was going between places and he told Draco about it.
  • It is true that Trelawaney predicted Dumbledore 's death and Sirius's death but she also predicted Wormtail's betrayal and Dumbledore got her a job at Hogwarts to protect her from Voldemort despite every one thinking of her as a fake seer because she predicted Voldemort's death by a chosen child giving few signs that led Dumbledore to think the chosen child will be ( Harry Potter or Neville Longbottom )

On a re-read it is horrifying to experience Harry entering the Room of Requirement and seeing the Tiara of Ravenclaw, even touching it.

Most of the time stuff Ron says as a joke turn up to be true. Like in 3rd book when Arthur informs them about Sirius, Ron says something along the lines 'Maybe I could catch him and get more gold' to which Arthur replies '13 years kids won't be able to catch him'. They do endup catching Sirius (tho he kind of wants them to). In 7th book where he shouts at Harry and Moine not to say Voldy's name and how he feels like it is jinxed or something like that. And turns out it Was jinxed. There are many moments where he does that and they mostly in one way or another turn out to be true

Trelawney was right more often than she gets credit for. She tells Lavender “the thing you are dreading will happen on the 16th of October” which is the day she got the letter about her rabbit dying. She wasn’t dreading the rabbit’s death specifically, but when we are away from home who doesn’t worry about our loved ones and dread (even subconsciously) receiving bad news about them? Trelawney also tells her “beware a red-haired man” and, well , things didn’t end so great with Ron 😆💔

Regarding the vanishing cabinet, Fred and George stuck Slytherin Graham Montague in it in Order of the Phoenix. He eventually reappeared in Moaning Myrtle's toilet. That's likely how it got broken. Regarding Dumbledore's correspondence with Petunia, he also left a letter with baby Harry, which Petunia ignored.
