Colorectal Cancer Survivor Story | Stage 1 Survivor Evan

Publicado 2021-03-05
What are some of the symptoms of Stage 1 Colorectal Cancer? What does treatment look like? Join me as I interview a friend and Stage 1 Survivor, Evan. He led an active, healthy lifestyle and never imagined cancer would be a part of it. Learn about how he was diagnosed and how his life changed afterward.

The current screening age for colorectal cancer has been lowered to 45. If you are 45 (or older), please call your doctor and ask to be screened. If you have a family history of colorectal cancer your screening age might be even lower, so talk with your doctor.

God help heal all of the people dealing with health issues 🙏🏼
  • Very honorable man with goals to help others using his cancer diagnosis. How's he doing. Update. Part 2.?
  • I was diagnosed with stage1 January of this year. What was supposed to be a clear cut remove tumor with outpatient surgery and close monitoring, has turned into starting radiation and chemo this Friday. Turns out even stage 1 cancers can be aggressive and have markers that will require aggressive treatment. Thank you for all your videos, they've helped to prepare me for what lies ahead.

Thank you so much for posting this video. I am 42 years old and I have my LAR surgery scheduled for November 1, 2021. I was diagnosed with stage 1 rectal cancer. I was really scared at first but now I feel like I have an understanding of what I am about to go through.

Im 25 and i got a sigmoidoscopy a few days ago. They found precancerous cells in a polyp. They will be going back in and doing a full colonoscopy to check out the other side of my colon. I am scared about what they are going to find. :( your videos give me so much hope! ❤️

Thanks for another awesome informative video. As one fighting stage 4 CRC. It really has helped me talking to someone who has completed the journey. I’d like to climb that mountain someday. Right now I’m climbing a flight of stairs.
  • My story is so similar to that man's story. I was stage 0 forever. Stage 0 is just the precancerous cells. They removed them the first time. The second colonoscopy a year later showed the tumors tripled. I ended up needing a total hysterectomy because tumors invaded it and all the structures. I don't know why they didn't think to link them. After my hysterectomy in May, everything accelerated. I've decided to halt everything until after Christmas. My only sister is in the process of getting diagnosed with leukemia, and I don't want to put our parents through anything more during the holidays. I told my doctors that I would be fine. It's been four years, and I am still here.

Hello Jelena, I love your videos , very informative . Do you know what kind of surgery did he get ? I’m trying to gather more information for my husband . Thank you so much!

I hope this guy stays clear. My mother was just diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and thankfully she’s just been staged at Stage 1. Surgery wouldn’t be very good because there is something on the anus from it. She’s 75 and has felt better than me. Maybe a little chemo/radiation will knock it all out and not be too hard on her body? I hope so.
  • Hi Jelina thank you for all the information, How long after your reversal did you start feeling better, Best wishes
