Dark Phoenix concludes this version of the X-Men film series, but how does it bring the X-Men timeline full circle with X-Men (2000), X-Men First Class (2011), X-Men Days of Future Past (2014), Logan (2017), and Deadpool (2016)? Where does Dark Phoenix fit in the X-Men chronology along with X-Men Apocalypse (2016) and X-Men The Last Stand (2006)? Erik Voss breaks down the full X-Men timeline, for the movies released 2000 - 2019, set from years spanning from 1845 through 2029. Which X-Men movies were "erased" from the timeline with Days of Future Past, and how does Deadpool, Legion (FX), and New Mutants fit in the timeline? Why was Dark Phoenix delayed so many times, reshot, and dumped by the studio? Where are all the plot holes and continuity errors in the X-Men chronology? What X-Men film should have ended the Fox Marvel series?

  • Rules to follow when watching X-Men: Forget everything you think you know.
  • @JustiniusMXIII
The timeline is rough. That being said Future Past and Logan are masterworks.
  • @Reginasbrain
I thought the whole point of X-Men: Days of Future Past was to change the entire timeline that we already thought we knew. So everything after Days of Future past is different from the original X-men movies.
  • I personally like to believe that the xmen ended in the scene where logan wakes up in the school as a teacher a happily ever after ending

These are great to watch on their own, but put together it’s just one big mess
  • dont mind me just catching up on this after the chaos that is wandavision
  • It wasn't Logan's agelessness that made him suitable for the mission in Days Of Future Past. It was his regeneration power. In Kitty Pryde's words, his mind could snap back.

First rule of MCU Club: You DO NOT talk about the X-Men timeline

This is why YOU MAKE YOUR MOVIES CHRONOLOGICALLY

Who’s here after quick silver showed up in Wanda vision 😅
  • @fchho
for me, the story had ended beautifully when wolverine woke up again in an altered future where everyone was alive and happy. Logan is just an standalone masterpiece

Why don’t we call dr strange to tell us the timeline.....
  • @OctolingPig
Like Deadpool said these timelines are so confusing
  • @champsammy13
Me: What about the timeline? Fox's X-Men: We don't do that here.
  • @deadaccount3193
If everyone is still confused, here is the best viewing order for the X-men movies so they kinda make sense (bare with me): First Class (1962) X-men Origins: Wolverine (1981) X-men (2000) X2 (2003 Last Stand (2006) The Wolverine (2013) Days of Our Future Past (goes back to 1973 and erases everything beforehand) Apocalypse (1983) Dark Phoenix (1992) Deadpool (2016) Deadpool 2 (2018) Logan (2029)
  • @jprangel
When you realize that Endgame takes place in the same year that Days of Future Past starts
  • I"m just confused about how mystique died in this movie, and then is alive in Xmen
  • @surajmishra4566
Marvel is gonna end all the confusion by introducing x men in the MCU
