  • RIP Andrew and Mark. I wish the best for your kids.
  • Tragic what happened to Andy and Mark....may their children be safe and well. May Bernie rot in hell in jail for the rest of his life.

to save his father's life, jail is the best place, otherwise his father would have been killed.
  • For the people saying the son shouldn't have turned his father in, you have no idea what you are talking about. This "nonviolent" crime you are referring to was a scheme that ultimately ruined a huge amount of peoples lives. He had stolen my grandparents hard-earned money, leaving them and my mother devisated. He deserves to rot
  • Gotta love the grim expressions by these anchors. They went to expression school.
  • Sorry for all who are criticizing the sons, but without knowing if they where in it or not, I believe they did the right thing. Madoff is still cocky for being a thief. Stand by your father if he's repented and starting to give ppl's money back. Turn him in if he plans to continue to stifle ppl.
  • I feel sorry for all of the victims of his nefarious Ponzi scheme !
  • "Our only course of action" .... to make it look like we weren't involved the whole time.

how sad for the sons. it is horrible to find that the person you respected the most was a charlatan .

I have worked for my father for 12 years, we own a insurance brokerage and that being said, I find it hard to believe that these guys had no idea what the father was doing. What were these guys doing at the firm? Were they asleep at their desks and flirting with the interns this whole time? Impossible for them not to know or suspect something. The other son killed himself probably because he knew the gig was up. In the end I kind of feel sorry for Ruth. Within a few years she looses a husband to jail, one son to suicide and another son to cancer. Poor woman is all alone now. I also feel sorry for the people that lost their savings, just sad. All this tragedy for a few yachts and private jet vacations. What boggles my mind is that Bernie was successful legitimately with his trading business, why did he get into investments? I guess it was not enough or him, he wanted more.

Andrew’s story is extremely detailed. Mentioning the weather that day and step-by-step occurrences- as if they practiced over and over what their alibi would be. 🤔
  • Both sons worked for their father at one point so what in the world did they do in the firm?
  • @mascovon
What is the gentleman’s name conducting this interview?
  • The father arranged this with them to spare them prison. I am not fooled for one minute.
  • Yes, they called the FBI later that day after they and their family moved their money to a "safer" place. You know you couldn't live with know the info without telling anyone only because you didn't want to go to jail as a party to this mess. Isn't it funny how questions of his sanity came up when the truth came out? So interesting that the last thing your brother said was "No one wants to hear the truth!” I think you guys know but nobody wanted to hear it.
