Millions of Americans won't vote for her. As if they don't want universal healthcare, fairer taxes and more freedom. Its absolutely crazy
  • The professor from Rice made several intriguing points well worth consideration. What I think is missing is an understanding of the fundamental training and strategies of prosecutors. I say this as the mother of 3 prosecutors, while also agreeing with the conversations about her performance in the 2020 race where she was outgunned. I put that down to not yet having operated at the national level. Experience teaches us many things. Harris is very bright and is a constant learner. So are successful prosecutors. When preparing for trial they start at the end, with writing their closing arguments. Why? Because it’s the ending of the story they want to share with their most important audience, the jurors. From the ending they assemble the relevant evidence, put it in a rational and most easily digestible order, building toward the end of the story as they seek to persuade their voters—the jury—that their case is more powerful than that of the defendant. Is it hard? Well of course it is. A trial deals with societal consequences. Verdicts come about because, in essence, the side who tells the better story tends to win. That means that both prosecutors and defense lawyers must do their best to gauge their voters and try to sway them with their story. Make no mistake: the resources available to Harris are extraordinary. Republicans also have myriad resources but they are saddled with a 78 year old man who is unable to stay on script or take any significant guidance and a VP candidate who doesn’t get that he’s supposed to be Mike Pence 2.0. I’ve not so far seen any real coverage on the importance of the support of disillusioned and highly sophisticated Republicans who are determined to do whatever they can to help defeat tfg.
