Met Isaac back at a show in Arizona. He's truly an awesome, genuine guy on a whole other level than anyone else on this planet.

It bears mentioning that the portrait was commissioned as part of a larger series of paintings of Portland's indie musicians by Brian Wannamaker, founder of the Falcon Art Community, which is a very cool studio space with lots of great artists and musicians, like Storm Large, whose portrait is also in the series.

i love issac when he's sober. When he's fucked up he says fucked up shit, which I also enjoy, but in this he just seemed very genuine

I live in Seattle and it's a great city, but sometimes I feel like moving to Portland just to be closer to Isaac and Modest Mouse, maybe have a chance at seeing them in a small venue again some time.

He looks a little like Elijah Wood here.
