The more I think about how CNN set up that debate, the angrier I get. Fortunately, it looks like Biden has turned things around. Friends who are panicked about the election ask me what my "Australian readers" are saying!

I don't love Biden 100% (I am a bit more liberal than that) but I am behind him 1000% and actually believe he is doing such a fantastic job that only HE can do!!! If he knew he was exhausted, and had a cold, and was "debating" somebody who was only going to waste time by ranting and telling lies; and if he knew it was early in the contest and the results wouldn't matter much; and if he wanted to draw the "traitors" out of the cracks in the wainscoting and create the "Too Old Joe" dialogue in order to quash it by being brilliant in the following two weeks; I could see him doing it. He's smart enough. But he's also smart enough to respond off the cuff to whatever is thrown at him. The fact that he's been brilliant for the last two weeks is proof enough of that.

I saw a podcast yesterday that had a speech pathologist on & described Biden’s debate performance as typical signs of someone who is a stutter, as Joe is. She sees all kinds of people that have all kinds of speech impediments, including Parkinson’s dementia, etc., and says everything that she saw him exhibit was just that of a stutter and how he copes with it under stress.

There is a large movement to bring back the one person one vote rule in the Constitution. In essence get rid of the electoral college... can't remember the organization

I haven't watched CNN since the debate, and will never watch them again. The moderators were so bad it seemed like a set up to me. I think that the losers were the moderators and Cnn and The liar Trump.

Ellie, I agree with you about Joe really being tired and also being distracted. My thoughts are Biden’s strategist decided to use this misfortune to their benefit. As you know Donald has taken all the oxygen in the past. So now Biden team is using this time to expose all Biden’s achievements.

I have been infuriated with all the public figures and politicians calling for Joe to step down! It is too late and just helps the Trump campaign!

I totally agree that the blame is on CNN, on top of Joe's exhaustion and illness. You're the first person who has pointed out that Joe could still hear Trump's diatribe, while we couldn't. Anyone who thinks Trump stood there in respectful silence is deluded. I'm hoping Trump's vascular event is in public for all to see.

Hi Ellie. Keep doing what you do as your readings are so real! Just want to say that I watched Joe Biden's speech at the NATO Conference. He was absolutely brilliant! His voice was strong snd energetic! No sign of the feeble Joe that a lot of Americans think he is. His speech got a standing ovation.
