So a crazy person basically found a “legal” way torture people and fulfil his sick fetish. How is he not in prison.

Ive seen that Haunt documentary and get this: Russ says he wouldn’t go into his own haunted house. So he’s calling people “weak” for needing a safe word...but refuses to go through the house himself. Interesting...

The “haunted house” doesn’t even look scary or fun it just looks horrible and disgusting

Russ’ wife is an attorney so I reckon they have gone over all the loopholes to make sure this actually is legal. From a human point of view, it is absolutely disgusting.

The point you made of how someone can say “please murder me” the murderer will still go to jail. This is still torture. It’s the same thing.

Has anyone touched on the fact that Russ’s constant ‘you don’t want to do this’ may just be playing on human emotions? When humans are told not to do something they automatically want to do it even more (Or that’s most peoples reaction), it’s basic reverse psychology. I haven’t watched the whole video so I’m not sure if this is mentioned! I just thought it was an interesting point as Russ is very well educated on forms of manipulation and a lot of youtubers have said he does tell the haunted house ‘players’ not to do it.

Unfun Fact: the “safe word” is given and encouraged to be used, BUT in the new waivers it states that the safe words are meaningless and WILL be ignored.

I've worked in the haunt industry for 10 years as an actor and a makeup artist and Russ is such a disgrace to the community. It's truly an embarrassment to the art of haunting. It takes so many talented people to put on a haunt from the actors, makeup artists, lighting people, set dressers, costumers, etc. And this guy gets all the fame for being despicably derranged. I can't tell you how many times customers have come up to me outside the haunt and ask if we're like Mckamey Manor. It's almost like that's the new standard I've had people be afraid to come in because they think it's like that and people disappointed that it's not. Mckamey Manor is not a haunt because creating a haunt takes talent, creativity, and dedication. It is an art. Mckamey Manor is nothing more than a serial killer's dungeon who found a loop hole.

actually, the safe word doesn’t exist. if you use it, they still won’t stop unless you’re seriously injured, and even then that’s rare.

If his neighbor didn’t sign the “waiver” and was forced and detained there, can’t they get in trouble with the law for that?

All because they signed the stupid waiver doesn’t mean they can’t opt out. You can’t really “sign away your rights” this dude is sick. 🤮
