Thank you for this great reading Alt Shift! I can't thank you enough for all you have done for my work. The story came to me naturally after touring the Old Quarter of Turkey's capital: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyvbM4It9kQ - The "Precursors" are a thinly-veiled allegory of Turkey's diverse minority groups.

I like the idea of a tub built into a building being evidence of the importance and difference of the lifestyle requirements of the precursor

Don't you just hate it when you go to buy nails and the shopkeeper ends up making you question the survival of everything you know. Also I love that he was looking for nails and the shopkeeper's story involving Alexander the Great but with aliens is akin to "when all you have is a hammer, everything starts to look like nails"

For a moment I thought Precursor was like All Tomorrows, except it’s a prequel that would eventually end with modern humanity.

Hello good sir, glad to listen to you read again.

I love the ZZZ side of your content so much. I recently listed to Adonais, and wow, I like poetry but never made it much further back in time than say "Bukowski" or "Kerouac/Ginsberg" stuff. I now have hundreds of years of Poetry to go experience thanks to you. If Adonais was made in 1812, and was crafted after greek epics, then I technically have thousands of years to catch up on! I didn't think I would like poetry that old. Like Shakespeare is dope but we read him in High School so I never appreciated it. Just that old old old stuff is so much better than I ever thought it would be!
