Which cuber parent have you seen the most?

Funny thing is that I am a cuber parent... and asked my kid to teach me how! Found out cubing is addictive. A year later I have over a dozen puzzles and a WCA ID. But I have to admit I was once guilty of asking my kid to solve in front of a friend.

The one about parents bragging on Facebook seems so oddly specific and true at the same time

it’s so funny because everyone thinks you gotta be good at maths or be a genius in order to solve the cube but it’s actually just memorising a bunch of algorithms and finger tricks and combining that together..

My mom thought I was joking for about a year, then when she saw me buy different cubes she was like “wait,you can actually solve those?” She thought it was a fake like training cube.

I'm glad to have a loving and supportive cubing mom who understands the joy and appreciation I get from Rubik's cubes. She buys me affordable cubes and took me to a competition once. Also, I like how your channel is so indie and chill. It's not all fancy or anything, but it's quality content. You rarely see YouTubers trying to start up, because the first ones you see are the big ones and so you never get into anyone else's content. As an aspiring video maker myself, I think you're cool. Keep on cubing :D

The non-cuber parent is totally my mom, whenever she walks into my room while doing a solve she'll just stand there silently

My mom never thought i'm a genius for solving the cube, yet she's extremely interested in helping me. For example, when getting my first GOOD speedcube, my mom literary told me to get a gan 12 (the price in my country is 70-80 dollars). I was like O-O Oh, btw, she also almost forced me to subscribe to a pretty useless (for me) cubing channel, when i knew 7-8 other useful channels I love her

My uncle thinks i need to figure out which way to turn it to beat it or smthn- not knowing i just used youtube.........

my parents always interrupt my videos when I'm filming! this so relatable! i was filing a unboxing once and my dad walks in and screams chicken and walks out! to this day i am still confused

The parent that buys their kid the best cube even though they’re a beginner is so relatable, my current personal best with the rubiks brand 3x3 i have is only 1:33.40 and my mom told me that she was gonna get me a bigger cube like a 4x4 or 5x5 just because i can solve it in under 2 minutes. i told her that if she’s willing to spend a lot of money on me (which she does, she spoils me sometimes lol) then to just get me a better 3x3 like a speedcube, i’m trying to get my PB under 20 seconds, but i’d have to find motivation to learn a different method because the beginners method isn’t that fast lol

I dont even know how parents and relatives relate solving a cube with being good at math or school. If only they knew im just a step away of droping college.

3:52 definitely I got super supportive parents.. My dad's a cuber and he thought me how to solve one, soon I picked up and actually beat his best time! Now, I bought the super rs3m ball core, I showed him the gan 13 maglev and he accepted to buy it.. Its 80 usd and its not a big amount for him so I'm getting the 13 maglev, although I bought the moyu super rs3m ball core cauz I am the kind of guy who always searches value stuff and not just spending, my dad thought me how to spend money wisely.. I'm proud to have such parents..
