  • please please don’t feel discouraged by the rude and demanding comments… it’s a huge fandom and unfortunately the toxic people are always the loudest. i love that you don’t overreact to what you’re watching. it’s very authentic and unlike most reaction videos on youtube. looking forward to your next video. 🙏🏽

BLACKPINK is a four-member Korean girl group under the management of YG Entertainment. Since their debut in 2016, BLACKPINK has become "The Biggest K-Pop Girl Band On The Planet," according to Vogue. With a background in Hip Hop and Electronic Dance Music, and their girl-crush concept, the band has smashed records, including becoming the first K-Pop girl group to perform at Coachella and accumulate 1 billion YouTube views while also becoming the most subscribed music group on the platform. The group has accomplished many things together as a team and separate as individuals, including becoming the faces, muses, and ambassadors of some of the biggest brands in the world (Dior, Chanel, Burberry, Saint Laurent, and Prada). Their group name represents their group concept. BLACK stands for their fierce, urban, and talented side. PINK stands for their more feminine, beauty, soft side. The four unique girls, their group positions, and [their characteristics]: Jennie main rapper, lead vocalist [fierce and savage attitude] Jisoo (Ji-sue) main visual, lead vocalist [full and deep husky voice] Lisa main dancer, lead rapper, sub-vocalist [always has bangs so you easily recognize her and is swaggy] Rosé (Row-zay) — main vocalist, lead dancer [sweet, angelic voice doing those vocals] Most of their songs are hard-hitters, but they also have a select few songs which are slightly more "PINK." If you're more into beats then there's 'Boombayah,''Kill this love,''Ddu du Ddu du' a club dance party song. You can also listen to "Playing With Fire" which is more EDM. I hope this might have helped you a little bit ☺️☺️ BTW love ur reaction ❤️❤️

BLACKPINK at concerts are on the next level they are amazing
  • Welcome back. For anyone curious, HYLT version: My BEGINNERS' GUIDE to BLACKPINK INFO, WHO'S WHO, SUGGESTED VIDEOS AND possibly HELPFUL LINKS: Their HOW YOU LIKE THAT music video broke the YouTube record for most views in 24 hour with 86.3 MILLION (record later broken by a Kpop boy group). They have a great Netflix documentary BLACKPINK LIGHT UP THE SKY that goes over their long trainee periods (4-6 yrs each) competing with other girls to debut to their iconic performances at Coachella in 2019 to working on album. It's a must-see for anyone interested in BLACKPINK, but reactions to it on YouTube would have obvious copyright issues. BLACKPINK 블랙핑크 is a 4 member South Korean (Kpop) girl group debuted August 8, 2016 now have 2nd most subscribed YouTube channel for a music act at almost 62 million, only 2 million behind J.Bieber who they'll surpass later this year whenever they drop a new mini album. Their 8 song first full album titled THE ALBUM last year hit #2 on Billboard hot 200 album charts. LISA 리사 / Lalisa Manoban (the Lead Rapper with the Cleopatra look and later red wig in HYLT MV) is the youngest member (1997) she's from Thailand, speaks 5 languages (3 fluently Thai Korean English, some Japanese, basic Mandarin Chinese). Lisa is not only BLACKPINK Main Dancer, but arguably the best female dancer in Kpop, check out her popular Lilifilm dances 1-4 and more cinematic short The Movie, all are cover dances mostly American songs, choreographed by Cheshir Ha who dances with Lisa in LF #4 and The Movie. These dance videos and some vlogs are on her own YouTube channel Lilifilm Official (7.6M subs). Celine and Bulgari brand ambassador. Most popular girl group idol member worldwide, less popular among BP members in Korea partly because she's the only non-Korean in group. Kpop queen of Instagram over 53 million followers, all BP members over 42M followers. Main singer ROSÉ 로제 (pronounced like the wine Rho zay) / Park, Chaeyoung 박채영 (sometimes called Rosie by the members) born New Zealand moved to Australia at 7, therefore a NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKER, Korean fluent, some Japanese, (purplish silvery hair here laying in bed of flowers in HYLT MV). Plays piano and guitar. YSL and Tiffany brand ambassador. Recently released 2 song solo which debuted #1 on Billboard global singles chart. MV had something like 42 million views in 24hrs. She recently got her own YouTube channel for vlogs, ROSÉ (2.7M subs). After 10M Tiktok followers Rosé did the WAP challenge... in sweatpants (hilariously wholesome). JENNIE 제니 / Jennie Kim (red dress two-toned hair in HYLT) is also a rapper, the Main Rapper technically though Lisa raps more in recent years and Jennie sings more. Probably most popular Kpop girl group member within Korea, always high on monthly brand recognition ranking for popularity (incl. 6 consecutive months at #1). Chanel brand ambassador, many other ads. Acts bada** onstage actually softie offstage. Lived in New Zealand for school 5 years, near native ENGLISH skills, some Japanese. She has her own YouTube channel for vlogs Jennierubyjane Official (over 6.5M subs). JISOO 지수 / Kim Jisoo 김지수 (prounounced like Gee Sue), not related to Jennie despite last name (the one with burning umbrellas scene in HYLT) is oldest member (1995) and lead (#2) vocalist of group, oldest member, Korean native, only one not fluent in English has accent, but understands a lot. Considered one of top visuals in Kpop by Korean beauty standards. 4D goofball personality on variety show appearances and in their reality shows on the BP YouTube channel like BLACKPINK House. Dior brand ambassador. No separate YouTube channel yet, maybe after her solo or after release of her 1st starring K-drama role in Snowdrop hits tv. They all have separate deals with luxury brands because they are the biggest girl group in the world. They've collaborated on songs with Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez and Cardi B. They're just getting started... Also great in concert with a full live band see Coachella performances. I flew to a concert in 2019 US leg of successful world tour because they weren't exactly 'in my area' and yeah it was worth it. Their livestream concert in January was great too. BLACKPINK is known for songs using catchy vocables (nonsense words and phrases) like Baddabing Badda boom boom boom, their debut title Boombayah and onomatapoeia like Ddu-du Ddu-du. It gives non-Korean fans some easy to learn memorable lyrics in the choruses in addition to the English bits. What to watch next? Music videos for: Ddu-du Ddu-du, Kill This Love, Lovesick Girls, earlier songs like Whistle, Boombayah, Playing with Fire, Stay, AIIYL, etc. Pretty Savage appearances= James Corden or the one on their official YouTube channel. Solo MVs: Rosé On The Ground, Rosé Gone, Jennie Solo... Lisa's solo in 2021. I have multiple BLACKPINK videos playlists on my channel and it'd be overwhelming for beginner to know where to start, but I linked 2 playlists in this post. Other BLINKs (fandom name) will likely suggest videos to you. My playlist all music videos in order "All BLACKPINK MVs chronological rEvolution 블랙핑크" youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQNSCrE3p8j4AWx2bpS5Wd2… My chronological playlist "All BLACKPINK b-sides 블랙핑크의 B면" youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQNSCrE3p8j5mkbpNKwkR_X… Used dance practices and concert clips since these don't have music videos. I put the Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga collabs at end. BLACKPINK videos are known for not using CG backgrounds and CG special effects (aside from WHISTLE and Rose's solo ON THE GROUND), preferring to use practical fx on set. There are MAKING OF VIDEOS for each BLACKPINK music video, they run 3 to 5 minutes and will show you how they do some of the scenes without CG. The background behind Jennie in KTL is a projection screen, like old Hollywood techniques. Avoid reacting to clips from their Jan 2021 livestream concert THE SHOW on YouTube because copyright infringement issues, but definitely worth seeing after you've caught up with discography since live versions have a great live band and are often rearranged for impact. They have some Coachella performances on the BLACKPINK official YouTube channel. While I highly recommend you see their Netflix documentary there are copyright reasons not to do a reaction using clips. Check out their cover of Sure Thing (reworking Miguel's song) from a 2017 appearance on JYPPP: https://youtu.be/_7TMluHVx4Y The member who is your favorite is called a 'bias', 2nd favorite is your 'bias wrecker' among English speaking Kpop fans. Your 'ultimate bias' is your favorite idol in all of Kpop. To find a Kpop group's vital stats, birthdates, fandom name, when they debuted, etc, go to internet search engines type 'Kprofiles' followed by group name. What to watch to get to know BLACKPINK better: I've already mentioned the Netflix documentary BLACKPINK LIGHT UP THE SKY so here's 3 other fanmade ones that many Blinks would agree on and want you to react to: You might be tempted to watch that Beginners Guide because it's short, I'd skip it because that one spends too much time focusing on the 2 narrator guys trying to be funny and other guides are more informative for beginners, so the 1st guide I'd suggest is a longer but more worthwhile one to get to know the girls personalities: NEED HELP PICKING YOUR BIAS AND TELLING MEMBERS APART WHO KEEP CHANGING THEIR HAIR? See lots of clips of their loveable goofy crackhead offstage antics and displays of individual talents (singing, rapping, dancing) here: An (un)helpful guide to Blackpink 2019 version [by lalisa enthusiast] (26 minutes long) https://youtu.be/xDytxsf66nQ BLACKPINK Journey and Friendship [by blink4beulping] (17 minutes long) https://youtu.be/y8lal1cBHmM This fan edited mini documentary is the video that gets BLINKs emotional This one has lots of info about BLACKPINK's rise from monster rookies to the most popular girl group in the world. Sure the song lyric puns are abundant and silly, but Paul & Michelle give beginners a pretty good overview: The Revolution: A Story of BLACKPINK [by The Asian Theory] (26 minutes long) https://youtu.be/LWgnOAMwSRk Though their achievements listed are pretty great in this video, it was made before Ice Cream hit #13 on Billboard 100 and over a month before their 1st full album THE ALBUM debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 200 albums chart with only 8 songs (but at #1 for sales), sold over 1.3 million copies (unheard of for a Korean girl group) and broke a girl group sales record for an album that had stood in Korea for over 50 years. Clips seen in many fanmade compilations are often from various tv appearances and livestreams (Instagram lives and v lives), but of the most common source is probably: BLACKPINK HOUSE 블핑하우스 a 12 episode reality mini series (each episode broken into 5 parts, so 60 parts total) released early 2018 which chronicles a 100 day 'vacation' they took to recharge while being filmed for our entertainment. You can find it on their official YouTube channel BLACKPINK the one with over 62M subscribers. The channel also has later BLACKPINK reality mini series such as: BLACKPINK Diaries (16 short episodes behind their 2019 world tour), Jennie Solo Diaries (10 parts total, behind Jennie's solo and its promotion period) and more recently BLACKPINK 24/365 (16 episodes released). Reactions to those 4 BLACKPINK reality shows may get blocked and other places like Patreon might be a safer place to upload those reactions with tricky copyright issues. Their best English language interviews are from the Zach Sang Show, 2 group appearances +1 solo BLACKPINK Coachella & Kill This Love (29 minutes) https://youtu.be/W7f-6dVvw7I BLACKPINK & Selena Gomez talk Ice Cream (18 minutes) https://youtu.be/DwupK1_kG8c Rosé talks On the Ground (33 minutes) https://youtu.be/RXqysZ6Bqno .
  • Thanks for the reaction and sorry for that bad first experience! Glad you got the Korean and Japanese experience!! Blackpink love 💕
  • Don't feel sorry ❤️ 😭 Our fandom is literally one of the biggest in the world so sadly that also includes rude and/or toxic people, who always scream the loudest. By the way, all their music/music videos (the original) have Korean+English, though they DO have a few fully English songs. Because the Japanese market is the #2 largest market in the music industry in the world, they also release Japanese versions of their songs. All the verses are in Japanese. All the raps are in English (though there are some of their songs that already have English raps in the original).
  • On the bright side, you're ahead of most reactors, who never get to the Japanese versions :) I enjoyed these reactions a lot, and look forward to more. I highly recommend their 2 debut songs next, Boombayah and Whistle, and for something different you might check out their live cover of Miguel's "Sure Thing". Cheers!
  • @lazerx1828
Hey Jordie, I missed your other BLACKPINK reaction, sorry for any rude comments from fans that you may have received! Hope you keep checking them out though, I love them! If I can suggest something though, if you could use the word "REACTION" in your title you may get more views as most BLINKS (BLACKPINK fans) search for the term "blackpink reaction". Thanks!
  • @allislee9701
Next - Bombayah, Whistle, Pretty Savage (this song has no MV - check out the live performance at James Corden).
  • @VyHuynh202177
Please, react to BLACKPINK’s debut songs, Boombayah and Whistle. 😎🙏
  • It's okay we enjoyed your reaction ! And damn people got no chills ..like mistakes could happen! Grow up people !
  • @jeremyg2732
So far, Jennie has a song called Solo and Rosé has 2 songs. On the ground, and Gone. Lisa has a solo in the works and also her Lilifilm channel where she has some dance covers.
  • @justmok4943
LOVE your reactions to my fav. all time most talented girl group, keep it up and more BlackPink in your area! 💖
  • @brianna37
If you want to learn more about the members, react to the crack guide to blackpink 2020(the one I’d recommend more) or the unhelpful guide to blackpink 2019, or both!
