I have one of these. You can run this thru the cleanest amp and still get it to growl somehow. I'm sold on Gretsch.

I bought a 5622T about a month ago and it’s absolutely flawless. It sounds amazing and plays beautifully. I couldn’t be happier. What a guitar at a reasonable price.

Good luck to all entering! Thanks to Phil & Family, for thinking of us. This is a beautiful instrument. 😊🤞

Killer! And who doesn't want a Orange hollowbody Gretsch?
  • Gretsch guitars are in a league of their own. Classic yet modern, beautiful yet gaudy. Easily one of the best all around guitars available. Better than any Gibson on any level on any day.

I have a Gretsch 5420T, Orange, Made in Korea. It is awesome. Perfectly smooth all around and so comfortable to hold. I usually play it unplugged, the tone and resonance are fine even unplugged.

I am in uk and have had one of these (lefty) for 6yrs. I love it. Something you did not touch on is the weight balance when standing. I find it perfect. Downsides: I had to thin the nut width by about half and very carefully curve the string grooves toward the tuning pegs at the back of the nut to help tuning stability with the bigsby. Secondly, being hollow body it needs time to adjust to temp/hum changes in venues for about an hour to stabilise and this time reduces the older the strings so I keep strings changes to bare minimum. Having said that, I wouldn’t swap it for the world, it has genuine character. ;))

I have a a g5125 with the Dearmond dynasonics, it punches way above its weight. Awesome guitars.

I love the sound of those Gretch Filtertron pickups! 😍

Always loved an Orange Gretsch. I just picked up a new Inspired By 335 and the quality of the newer Chinese Semi-Hollows/hollow bodies are crazy for the price

I had been subscribed already and going to the podcast website as well to enter for the giveaway was super easy, and thank you Phillip for all you share!

Even Gretsch's cheap guitars are outstanding.

2mm action height allows manufacturers to hide fret level problems lol. That's simply it. Leveled frets won't have problems with 1.5mm below, that's how I setup my guitars.

I have a great Gretsch Jumbo acoustic. It is like a rancher, but is yellow/orange with tri oval sound hole, and no markings. Very loud and stable. Awesome guitar.

I bought a GT 427 Gretsch last year. It’s midnight blue with gold hardware. It is a beautiful guitar. I love it. I have about $700 invested in this instrument. It plays absolutely beautiful played beautiful right out of the box. I’m very pleased with this instrument. I played guitar since 1974. This is one of the seven guitars I have I think that’s enough. I just recently bought a 12 string acoustic and a few years back. I bought a classic fender squire and put a new bridge and new machine heads on it and it plays beautiful too. Don’t waste your money on namebrand guitar, it’s not worth it is the person that is playing take care of your instruments. They’ll last forever. Have a beautiful day.❤️❤️😄😎🎸
