As soon as you say Chicago the element of surprise goes out the window

That is what makes Chicago unique. You can uncork a few rounds into a crowd and the mayor has no real concerns. It makes the game more exciting.
  • I remember around 1980 here in south Africa someone discharged a round up into the sky and killed a girl in her bed miles away ,they actually found the guy and he was jailed .I visited the police museum with the school back then and We were shown exactly how they tracked him down with angles of bullet entry .Sure would like to know if the model that was build to show us still exists

New meaning to “take one for the team “ 😳
  • Can't even go to a baseball game in Chicago without getting shot. Something seriously needs to be done about that city

Love Chicago, I hear the weather is wonderful this time of year. It only rains lead 40% of the time!

It’s amazing the velocity of a bullet even from a mile away. A bullet that probably was not shot from a high powered rifle but can still cause deadly harm from that far away. Thankfully no one lost their life in the stadium. You can bet that all stadiums will be looking at adding some type of ballistic protection to their stadiums now.

Glad no one was killed. I hope those that were injured are well and make a full recover. Dont mess around in chi-town.

It's impossible someone was shooting a gun, they have the strictest gun laws in place that everyone has to abide by.

"We're safe because we ignore the crime-infested areas that are literally blocks away from our location." This excuse only works so long.
  • I’m really shocked that the game wasn’t cancelled as soon as they found out someone was shot

That must have been weird pretty weird feeling. I wonder if its even painful at first or just confusing. Crazy part is, the grouping of the people that were hit, plus the fact its almost proven she didn't discharge a firearm.

Chicago is on my never-to-go list.

Something similar happened at the Texas Motor Speedway some years ago. Someone fired a .50 cal BMG round into the air. It travelled about 2 miles before penetrating the side of a camper parked at the speedway and hitting a woman inside the camper in the arm.
  • @number62
How could this happen in a place like Chicago?
  • @morninboy
Something like this happened in NYC years ago and if I recall correctly it killed a young lady. A detective working on the case managed to roughly calculate where the bullet came from. He went to the area and the first person he talked to about the incident was the owner of the gun that accidently went off.
  • @kuttycrew
Amazing they kept playing the game despite police warnings to clear the stadium. Why isn’t this a bigger story, where is the league’s response?
  • @ProdMigoMucciAnt
Dammn that's scary... hate stuff like this hope everyone recovers mentally and physically
  • @SocialMediaTragedy
It's Chicago... I'm amazed they aren't seeing casings all over the ground.
